Bitcoin Industry Day already looks like it wants to establish a trend in the industry towards “Bitcoin-only”. River’s recent funding validates this notion. It’s great, but beware…….

Even if the trend is real, don’t confuse the validation for total signal. Do not start trusting individual influencers just because they preach “Bitcoin only”.

“Bitcoin only” is now the new “Organic” - and we need to continue the need to verify.

Proof of work isn’t for everybody I guess.

The word poseur exists to distinguish the people who earned their place in a scene from noobs who bought their way without sacrificing anything. Poseurs ruin all good scenes and it’s the community’s ability to discern them that determines the longevity of that scene.

Proof of work definitely separates people in Bitcoin. Plebs abide by it solemnly, while shitcoiners and LARPs find it unnecessary.

My podcast Rock-Paper-Bitcoin is on Fountain. In this episode, called “Root Causes” I break down Fake Food, Non-Bank Risk, and the 2022 UK Pension Bailout.

There’s no reason 2 people with a lightning channel need to use it to pay exclusively satoshis.

One partner can provide milk and eggs while the other sends new commitment transactions and revocation keys reflecting the new value state of the channel.

Perhaps the hashing pre image opens the freezer and provides physical access to the goods desired.

An annuity is a primitive of social cooperation. It’s been a powerful tool in the last century with the drawback being their basis of trust - leading to fiat funding and rugpulls.

Lightning could remove trust from an annuity making it a powerful tool for cooperation unlike anything humanity has seen before.

Yeah - agree with all of this.

It’s about rigorous root-cause attribution. Koch’s postulates give a way to get us to agree that there exists a contagious disease. Not the only way but it’s a good standard.

That’s my starting point - without the attempt to verify, it could be anything.

300,000 people die every year just from prescription drugs that followed all the directions. Nobody knows if there was really an uptick in mortality in 2020 due to any cause, let alone a contagious element.

We definitely have an uptick in all-cause mortality in 2021 and that’s easier to attribute since we know we had the biggest forced-vaccine rollout in the history of the world and we know from Pfizer’s docs that the vax killed more ppl than the placebo control. Not rigorous enough for my liking but I don’t fault people for going there.

Wow - you should have mentioned your esteemed credentials before I mistook you as having signal.

PV!

It’s not Disney day. It’s Star Wars day. Fuck the overlords and let’s celebrate the story of the eternal struggle of good vs evil and the quest for power.

May the 4th be with you, always.

Sorry - can’t have vaccines UNLESS you have a deadly disease. Invent the problem so you can sell the solution.

It probably beats telling your people you don’t know why so many people are getting sick and dying - if only the injected solution wasn’t so deadly and harmful.

When you made deadly disease a premise I knew you probably didn’t get my point. It’s a tough nut to crack cause we’re engrained to believe in them without verifying.

Can’t have vaccines in case there are deadly diseases.

You assume the existence of deadly diseases and accept them without proof.

The alternative is to accept that we don’t know what is poisoning people but there’s as much reason to believe it’s a disease with an antidote as there is to believe that rain is caused by space elephants pissing in the sky.

This is how we give centralized power to those who will actually kill millions with a solution to the wrong problem.

There do not exist any good vaccines. I challenge you to define what a good vaccine is without invoking the unproven imagined witchcraft of “viruses”. It’s all based on pseudoscience and the lowest standards of verification eliminate it as having any value as a field.

There are bacterial infections that are proven using Koch’s Postulates (the last one being Tuberculosis by Robert Koch himself in 1890). There are vaccines for TB but no proof that they are needed or whether they do more harm than good (spoiler - all vaccines cause far more harm than good under any standard of verification)

There might be a case that virology is a field one day worth studying but there’s no evidence ever of a contagious virus in the way modern virology wevisions it with a vaccine as a solution. Not polio, not HIV, not Covid - all of it is made up - even the Spanish Flu.

All the human subjects of the last century have yielded no progress because they don’t actually look for a contagious disease - they see a bunch of people getting sick for unknown reasons and assume it’s a contagious disease. Never proven (since TB).
