Has this ever happened to you?

I know my videos have been flagged in stories or my reels, and then I have to dispute them and hope they get reinstated.

Thankfully, I haven’t experienced a complete ban (all jokes aside), but I know people who have, and it’s pretty crazy. Unless you’re posting things you shouldn’t (and I really shouldn’t have to specify what those things are), you shouldn’t have to worry about being shadowbanned. Sadly, that’s not the case on many platforms.

What’s wild is that this isn’t happening on Nostr. No random flagging, no weird algorithm deciding if your content gets seen, and no shadowbanning for simply sharing your thoughts. It makes you wonder—why are other platforms so quick to silence people? 🤔

Engagement on Nostr is different than other platforms. I’ve been on Twitter (X) for years, and I have never been able to truly grow over there. You could say I didn’t really try, or maybe I was engaging with the wrong people; I just never got it! But on Nostr, you don’t have to worry about the algorithms, no artificial limits—just authentic conversations.

On traditional platforms, it often feels like a struggle to get your voice heard. Sometimes I feel like I’m just writing in a journal that no one will ever read!

And maybe you might have a ton of followers, but if the algorithm decides to play games, your content barely reaches anyone. Here, if someone follows you, they actually see your posts! That’s huge!! I know so many people that I follow on IG that I never see their content until I realize I haven’t seen them in a while and then go to their page. That really sucks. If I follow you, I want to see what you are posting.
