As I continue my research regarding the issues of the current social media framework and how #nostr can solve the peoblem. It did open myself to a new world I never thought existed.
Here are why:
1.) "Copyright Infringment" as I asked the community on my recent post is one of the key reasons for censorship in the centralised platform. It then lead me to the book by Stephanie Kinsella - "Against IP".
As a result to my curiousity, I am now questioning where the IP shinanegans start. My research so far boils down to "capitalism, profits - bottomline". I also found out that from the book that you cannot "copyright information" or "ideas" because it is everywhere. You accumulate those and recreate.
2.) "Fake News or Misinformation". This is a way to treat people that WE CANNOT THINK FOR OURSELVES or WE DO NOT HAVE CRITICAL THINKING! Instead of teaching people critical thinking, we would rather treat the "symptoms" than treat the "cause".
3.) Child Safety which notoriously everywhere offline or online. However, this comes down to responsible parenting. Parents responsible for bringing up their kids and what they are exposed to. I am acutely aware that not everyone is lucky to have parents or guardians which in itself a whole different story.

I read 17 page of Stephanie Kinsella's work about anti-IP and it is an eye opener for me. I must admit, it opened myself to a world I never thought existed. I listened to the podcast which led me to the book! ty for this reference.

this is very refreshing! I used to feel guilty for not following the Google SEO or any SEO because I feel I had to follow what every gurus on the internet is doing. I even took the time to record a "note to myself" how to set-up my tracking! But at the end of the day, I asked myself, why on Earth am I doing this? I have a website because I want to help people and not because I want to impressed and beat Google's search engine! If it means I reach 1 person then be it! There is no point writing on something to make it viral and I hate what I am writing. No wonder so many "so called influencers" burned out because they no longer follow their passion, they are following the numbers! 🤓 PS. I have Google analytics on mine but I do not review the number so it is useless to me! I follow what is my heart telling me to write!

We only had one test remaining. She said she was experiencing period pain and that it would likely yield another negative result. So, I already fell asleep when she woke me up to ask if I could help her read the test. I wasn't fully awake yet so my mind wasn't processing much. I got out of bed to look at the test results, seeing two lines with one being very faint. That still counts as positive result. Not wanting to get my hopes too high, we drove to Walgreens at 2am and purchased more tests. Did we take enough tests? 😂 All of them came back positive. Tears of joy. I'm going to become a Dad! What an incredible feeling it is.

A comment made by an acquintance who did admit that he has no idea how #btc works! Mind you, he is technically adept because he works in IT.
I replied: "If the gov't printing money as often as they change clothes, isn't that a risk? Everything is a risk. What matter is how much risk can you tolerate?"
I did not go on explaining more about #crypto, #btc because he was not ready yet. But at least I have given him an idea of where the demand is right now!
