trying to set up NIP-05 with Github pages. Wondering how often a client “retries” the NIP-05 authentication query? Can I force that somehow?
i only ask because i knew that there was like multiple efforts to make a better version of NIP-04. I didn’t know if any have caught on yet haha.
anyway, any kind of encryption is indeed good!
Made a little video featuring that new onboarding workflow:

Coracle has DMs now? Which NIP did you implement for that?
So it’s a best practice to use a key management tool.
But there are no cross-platform key management tools.
So you need to use at least 2 different key management tools.
And you need to somehow send your keys to the other key management tool using (probably) an insecure channel.
🥴
Also, is a key management app that is only on one platform really useful?
I gotta use 2 key management apps (one for each operating system) which defeats the purpose right??
Does #[0] handle logging in to native iOS apps? or only logging in to web apps?
I need multi-account support in Damus
Have you elaborated on this somewhere? Are you thinking that many mints will just rely on reputation as the only source of honesty?
And it will likely take another 5 years for it to be proven out. These things are totally not ready yet
Phoenix is okay, but the UX is really unexpected.
I thought I opened a channel (costed 3k sats) but when I sent more from the same source into my phoenix wallet, it costed 3k sats again.
Super unclear as to when a channel is being opened and closed. Really seeing no benefit if every transaction costs 3k sats in fees lmao
It remains to be seen how well federation will be in keeping a mint honest.
Also, if your mint only has one user (or five users) it’s not really private.
to be fair, private zaps make more sense to me anyway. the idea of public zaps feels strange. like why would you want to show the world that you spent bitcoin on such a trivial shitpost. that is your child’s college education…
if you replied to a post yourself, can that always show as the top reply though?
shouldn’t all nostr web apps offer major versions that are pinned on IPFS?
It would feel gross if my friends sent me money for my silly little posts
#[2] i think this is what you wanted!
https://peachbitcoin.com open beta launches tomorrow.
theoretically this will be huge for liquidity. anyone in a free society can have a little side business selling bitcoin from exchanges. anyone in an unfree society can get kyc-free bitcoin for a competitive price
oh nvm. it’s the hand sign. you tap it hahah
Couldn’t someone make an insulting badge and give it to you. And there’s no way to hide that from your profile? Like how people put you in lists without your permission on twitter I guess
