Bitcoin Well is a good company. Once you’re set up, all you do is send X BTC to a specific address they supply at setup, and after one confirmation on the blockchain they send the fiat by email money transfer (Canada) to an email address of your choice, for subsequent deposit into the bank account of your choice. I’m not sure how Bitcoin Well navigates this in the US version of the service, since I can’t sign up as a US citizen. Of course there are tax implications, but we all understand this. And of course there’s the wait time for the bank to produce the actual funds. After the trucker convoy two friends of mine liquidated their chartered bank account to move it to a local credit union and had to wait a month to get it all out. And it was only about $80k. The banks don’t have your money.

100% of my exorbitant income tax is deducted at source. I can’t opt out unless I quit, find someone who will pay me in cash or bitcoin under the table (non existent for the income level I’m at), or cultivate a service based business over time and simply don’t file, and roll the dice. And when I die, it’d just come out of my estate, further burdening my heirs. Here, if an employee doesn’t pay as a deduction at source and doesn’t file and remit, they just garishee future wages or take it out of your bank or the employer is on the hook for it. Essentially making every employer an agent for the state. I asked our HR if I could administer my own income tax and just set that money aside for manual payment each year at tax time, and they couldn’t do it even if they want to. The payroll provider’s software won’t even permit it if you are considered an employee rather than a contractor. There’s an exemption request form you can fill out, but the approvable reasons for exemption are few. It’s all a trap.

She’s missing a key part of the equation. And part of her frontal lobe.

Are any of my fav Nostr frens on Steam for PC gaming, or PSN for PlayStation 4? If so, let me know and feel free to add me on those platforms.

Check out my library, maybe we have some common titles. I don’t get a ton of play time lately and most of my current online Steam friends have their hands full these days just making ends meet. But it sure is nice when I do get some game time to have a wingman or two on voice comms shooting the breeze and taking on coop challenges. Current faves are Ready or Not and Left 4 Dead 2 on PC, any of the GTA games and Dying Light on both platforms, Dark Souls, Elden Ring and Red Dead Redemption 2.
