People keep telling me to call my Nostr posts "notes".

Yes, it is "notes and other stuff transmitted by relay". But my note is a post. I posted it. I have used the term "post" for two decades. I posted it.

This is Nostr. We don't have rules. I'll call them what I want. I called it a post. Fight me.

I continue to call posts on "X" tweets as well. I tweet them. My father called tissues "Kleenex" down to his end days and I plan to do the same for this unless or until it just naturally feels right to do otherwise. Every time someone tells me to change my terminology, I just channel my late father and say, "no". I called it what I called it.

I tweet on X and I post on Nostr.

アメリカ人は税金面とかで色々不利になってくることが実は多くてアメリカの市民権を自ら放棄する人がなんとなく増えてきてる気がする。つまりアメリカ出身なんだけど、制度的にはアメリカ人ではないし、本人も別にアメリカに帰属している感覚はない。アメリカ以外でも中国人もそんな感じ。個人や家族の成功を何より優先。

アメリカは元々移民の国だから、本人たちが移民として他の国に移り住んで行くことの心理的抵抗はそこまでないのかもしれないが、日本人は日本という国に帰属をしているという意識の人が多い。

例えば日本人は海外に行ったときに私は日本人です、と自ら自己紹介することが多いけど、欧米人で自己紹介する時にまず私は何々人です、という人は実はあまりいないし、後でわかることとかもよくあるし、自分も必要なければもはや聞かない。国より個人優先という何となくの意識の現れだと個人的には思ってるけど。

ただ20年くらいのスパンで考えると日本でも経済状況の悪化や制度のさらなる改悪化とかが進むと、嫌でも外に出なくちゃいけないパターンが増えると予想してる。国への過剰な帰属意識はその時に個人の選択の邪魔になる可能性がある。個人的には自分はどこに行っても自分、というアイデンティティがあって、段々日本人という意識自体も二の次感があるけど、無国籍通貨/ネットワークであるビットコインの影響もある。

つまり Buy Bitcoin。
