Also--it has always been this way, in every political system and in every era of history, and will be forever this way. Humans will always be humans. There is no fixing things to make them "fair".

I wish I could get excited about the Meta glasses. Life would be so much easier just to join the state religion of Progress--to worship the machine. To take Star Trek as your prophecy. To accept the court history of the progressive ark from the "Dark Ages" to the "Enlightenment" as your founding myth. To participate in the public worship at Silicon Valley launch events. To tie one's sanctification and salvation to product upgrade release cycles. To see the end times as a merging of man and machine leading to an eternity of bliss in some kind of metaverse Second Life. But I just can't do it. I lost my faith and I can't get it back. And so now I'm the worst thing you can be in our society--I'm backwards. I'm not moving forward. I'm looking back. I'm like an iPhone 3 trying to morph back into a flip phone. I'm a deplorable, standing in the way of Human Progress. I'm an impediment to the Progressive Utopia. How long can the Saints of Progress allow my kind to exist? We do things like vote for Brexit and Trump. We save our money instead of consuming the latest tech and helping to grow GDP. We teach our children Bronze Age myths. To the Cult of Progress, of course we're a problem.

As part of my personal #grownostr series to talk about my interests, tonight's topic is beer for all of my #beerstr fans out there.

I'm kind of a beer snob. I will mostly only drink craft beer, beers that I've never heard of or had before. I don't like all of the basic domestic beer at all. I'm not a poor college student. I don't need to drink something that's cheap and tastes like water or something that's cheap and tastes like skunk piss.

I love to visit microbreweries with my friends and family. I love to go on microbrewery tours with friends and family, visiting multiples of them over the course of a day or a weekend. I love to get flights of different beers and really dig into the style and flavor. I probably spend a bit too much time trying to pinpoint all of the hops or ingredients ๐Ÿ˜† Anyways, the beer is great, but also I love the social experience too. I love conversing with people, I love taking in the different atmospheres. It fits my personality well.

I don't like IPAs. I will drink them to try them, because I like to try all of the beers, but I haven't found one that I said to myself "Wow, I need to come back here and get this IPA for a second time." That just doesn't happen with IPAs for me.

I am a dark, dank beer fan. I love all styles of stouts, from coffee stouts, to milk stouts, to irish, to American, to bourbon barrel aged stouts. I'm also a fan of Belgian dubbles and Belgian tripels. My go to will always be a darker beer of varying styles, but this can change due to the season.

Oktoberfest is one of my most favorite times of year. I'm a real snob here. I won't stray too far from the traditional German style Marzen or Festbier. I've never been to Munich, but I've always wanted to go. I actually had my flight and hotel for the 2020 Oktoberfest, but COVID-19 took that away. Oh well. I've been to dozens of local events over the past few years though. I love to dress up for these events too.

During the summer on our boat, I drink a lot of sours and hefes. These styles of beers during the hot summer days work best. I don't want to drink a heavy dark beer in the hot summer, while on the water. I'll take a lighter beer here, but I still need something with flavor. I'm not going to drink Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Lite, etc. Now, that doesn't mean that I haven't drank them while I'm on the water. I won't turn down a free beer from a fellow lake friend.

I've never brewed my own beer, but it's something that I've wanted to do for many, many years.

I look forward to having a beer with you at our next Nostr event :)

Let me guess--you're fed up that 99.9% of those in Bitcoin only ever take, contribute nothing except complaints, expect others to take risks and use their time/capital and even risk their freedom--all to pump the USD exchange rate, as nobody gives a sh*t about the cypherpunk ideas that started this whole thing really--and yet they won't do so much as zap 2 sats to support those people actually doing the work? You are fed up that everyone's a purist/idealist with insane standards when it comes to judging the contribution of *others* but don't hold themselves to anywhere near the same? You are fed up with grifters getting all the clout? You are fed up with seemingly boundless, infinite stupidity overtaking every tiny nook and cranny of Bitcoin the moment we even come *in sight* of mass adoption? Something like that?

He who says doesn't know, and who knows doesn't say.

The Nikkei, a Japanese language business newspaper, is apparently a propaganda arm of the US Democrat party. How bizzare. All of these pro Kamala articles are from today's digital edition, but I noticed similar stories daily. Why is a Japanese language newspaper parroting US Democrat party propaganda for an audience who can't even vote in the US? Is the answer that Japanese media is part of the "Cathedral" described by Curtis Yarvin? If so the phenomena of the Cathedral is even more strange and powerful than anybody thinks.

The ones with the most money /Bitcoin / things to lose from being punished. It would be interesting to see to what extent HNW individuals could flee the US. The problem is the law would likely apply to citizens regardless of residence.

Consifcate could just be to ban self custody. Once you force the assets into the regulated system those assets are already on the government's balance sheet. Hence why the ETFs are a clear attack.

Yes, the dollar collapse is a national emergency and there will need to be a America First Save the Dollar Financial Stability Act passed in order to prevent

digital asset horders from destabilizing the global economy.

The speculative attack on the dollar by those entities hording large amount in unregulated wallets is causing financial instability, inflation, and giving cover to terrorists and other money laundering activities.

All citizens should arrange to have their digital assets moved to a federally insured regulated institution immediately.

Those not complying will face fines of up to 1M USD and/or 10 years of jail time.
