Fixed the mother of all bugs on the CashuMe wallet on https://cashu.me that has been haunting me for so long.
It was a hard core race condition that would mix up the public keys of two different mints. The bug would only appear if your internet is slow or our server was being bombarded with requests. We tried reproducing these conditions but still couldn't reproduce it reliably. It took weeks to find it and the help of at least a handful of people.
Now it's fixed. I'm having a beer now. Damn I'm happy. Cheers 🍻
Multi-thrading /-processing is really hard to test properly. If you don't have a formal model of your software, you're left with fuzzing to find such bugs.
I highly recommend the "UnCommunist Manifesto" by Moss & Svetski, which supports your point of view. Freedom relates to individuals, not to groups!
