So I joined a “geolocation” in bitchat the other day. I thought it would be cool to talk to some geeks, or even just listen to them talk about whatever big brain stuff was on their mind. It was just spam and 14-year-old-boy-talk. As the ascii nudes kept rolling in, I thought to myself “I’m really glad that they can’t post images.” Then I log in to Nostr and see this.

The use of surrogates is creepy to me.
Every time I’ve ever tried to tell someone who is poor about bitcoin and how it would help them, they laugh at me and say things like “I’m living paycheck to paycheck, man.” They’re third world for a reason. Bitcoin isn’t going to save them. They’ll be poor in any paradigm.
I follow people. Their content pops up in my stream. That’s a relationship.
