There will be a lot of Italian plums to pick any day now. They just turned colour but are still hard. Plum cake!

I hope the raccoons behave, and the bears are still busy eating the plentiful blackberries in the bush.

Little Splitgill mushrooms (Schizophyllum commune) growing on a downed poplar, just bare of the receding snow.

These are the tiniest mushrooms I ever photographed, the caps only about 1 mm across. I think they are Bark Mycena (M. corticola) (?) as there were some slightly larger ones nearby.

Surprised that I got a single shot out of many that was in focus.

New bugs for me: Round-headed Apple Tree Borers (Saperda candida) doing their thing in the middle of the bush. No apple trees for quite a distance.

Guess the larvae don't just specialize in apple trees.
