I attended a wedding at our city’s one large casino. The wedding and venue was wonderful, but you had to walk through the casino floor to get to the venue. I was taken aback by the people gambling. I’m no prude, do what you’d like with your money and time, but I observed hundreds of people most (not all) who seemed sick, unhappy, and sad, many morbidly obese. So many were just smoking, drinking, and boredly pressing on slot machines. Everything there is preying on high time preference and addictive actions.

I danced, celebrated a marriage of dear friends, had a drink and a great time with me wife. And we went home with the same amount of money I came with.

Update photo on the solar system! Solar Array #1 is up with 600 watts of panels, now installing the various components in a shed including a 3000 watt inverter, charge controller, and TWO 100ah LiFePO4 batteries @ 24v. I will eventually add a couple more batteries and another ~6 PV panels.

Winter is coming, so the fruit trees have been given their wooly jumpers courtesy of the pre-summer shearing clippings. I expect they'll be scattered all over the lawn in the morning.

Support question here. I keep seeing people post links to a void.cat url. I assume these are photos or videos based on the context. I am using amethyst as my platform and these files never load. Is void.cat a platform specific url? Or is there a way to see these in amethyst?

I grew up in my dad's donut shop diner. Kids with bad eating habits turn into adults with bad eating habits. I was vegetarian from 16-30, and weighed as much as 260 lbs.

Being obese doesn't feel good and isn't something to be proud of, but shaming didn't help. What helped was positivity & encouragement.

I'm ~190lbs today and still have a lot of work to do. One day at a time.

Love some mead. Blueberry sounds awesome.
