Yeah I had a bug in the code. It took a few tries but you're tagged in the last reply to this thread.
Ok fine, fourth time's a charm. #[2]
Not sure why I wasn't following you before, but after reading this... followed! And I completely agree.
I feel like as long as any automated curation is 100% optional and user controlled, it's a win for users. People who don't want to use it don't have to. The people who find it helpful appreciate it.
That's where I'm at. As long as any kind of curation is simply an optional choice fully in the control of the user, I'm cool with it.
NostrGram.co plays them too.
I didn't see that he'd done that, but it's so easy to do that kind of thing on Nostr right now because the relays have little spam prevention.
About 750k of those total events are spam events with non-standard kind types. I purged them from Nostrum a while back. Just "test" junk. Even so the numbers are growing fast.
I don't have a chart for daily new users yet, but I'll be adding one (likely this evening). For the time being you can see the charts that I have for Nostr here: https://nostrum.pro/search/#charts
6,100 new Nostr users in the last 24 hours compared to 1,200 in the previous 24. Noice! 😎
Quote notes coming in the next NostrGram update. Just paste in a noteId, like this... and you get the quote note editor. 😊 #[1]
It's a nice wave that's for sure. Things were slow for two days and people were calling it dead. 😂😂😂
When Jack joined there was a huge spike of activity and then it settled down (though much higher than previously). I expect the same with Snowden. It's like the Bitcoin bull runs -- lots join for the bull and leave for the bear, but some get orange pilled and stay. We'll Nostr-pill some folks.
Worth thinking about. I'll be resizing and compressing the files before sending them for storage to reduce costs and bandwidth. At first the service will be free while in beta, but eventually I'll have a paid version of the client that includes image and video upload and Storage. Got to cover the costs.
It will be a custom one in create so I have control over the performance and process. I'll use Amazon's cloud service (s3) for hosting.
Hey #[0] , I had somebody pop into my replies that's using Iris and noticed that his reply didn't tag the original thread note, which prevented the note from appearing in the thread view.
Is there a reason Iris isn't always tagging the root thread? I'm developing a client myself (NostrGram) and just want to make sure I'm not missing something I should be accounting for. Thanks!
