Ok, the issue appears to be bots using VPNs (secure proxies). For the time being I'm blocking VPNs until I figure out a way to identify the bad actors. Queries per second dropped from 120+ to about 10 -- that's how bad the bots are hitting the site. If you're using a VPN I apologize. NostrGram won't work for you while I work on this issue.
The db size isn't at all an issue atm. It's about 30gb. The issue is going from 10-12 queries per second to 120! Bots. 🤖
You can. Just click the Twitter icon under the note editor at the top. All those icons are feed layout options.
Putting some bot blocking code into NostrGram. If you get blocked by accident let me know. It's fairly rough at the moment. I'm just working to get the database load down so NG doesn't slow down for real people, but of course if you're not a bot I'll make sure you can get through!

I've had a few people ask about that and I'm thinking about providing a Light Mode stylesheet. It will take some time though since everything in NostrGram is designed around dark mode (I can't stand light mode myself lol). It's on the roadmap though!

NostrGram just crossed its first, 1000 in-app media uploads. Woohoo!
It's on my roadmap to allow rebroadcasting your history to a relay/relays of your choosing. So that's coming, but I don't know when yet.
Ah yes I need to have it check if you're logged in first. Can't create a friend's list unless you're logeed in.
NOSTRGRAM UPDATE - GREATLY IMPROVED FRIENDS+ AND FOLLOWING FEEDS
Okay Nogs (I hear that's what NostrGram users should be called now -- I like it), big update to NostrGram. The Friends+ and Following feeds now load much faster and the Friends+ feed will search up to 20,000 connections (the people you follow plus the people they follow). I was hoping for 10,000 but was able to do a lot more. Who needs Global with a feed like Friends+???
The first time you load the Friends+ feed it will build your connections list. If you follow a bunch of new people you can rebuild your list by clicking the new icon on your Profile (the blue person with a plus sign).
