Yes. Click the ellipsis in the menu bar and it's in the General Filters list.

The Blogs filter is currently set to 300 words and that seems to work well for Nostr.

Out of millions of notes there's only 143 that currently have > 1k words. There wouldn't be much to see.

CloudFlare has cut the bandwidth use of NostrGram by 70%! Smaller files and images being served to your device(s) is increasing performance, too. In addition, I made a significant performance improvement to the database that has it running like a top now. The database server is yawning at the load now 🥱. Plenty of room for growth at these levels!

Battery power and bandwidth. If you have plenty of both then having notes coming in from (and your notes going out to) as many relays as possible is useful for additional redundancy.

If you're on mobile and using most clients (which pull from all relays) it will save bandwidth and battery life to reduce the number of relays. You just need to be sure to keep the ones that the people you're following are using.

Or you could use a client like NostrGram that using a caching server to gather all the notes from 150+ top relays and send only a single stream to your device (no more pulling from a dozen or more relays) while still writing to all of your configured relays as per usual.

NOSTRGRAM UPDATES - GREATLY IMPROVED NOTIFICATIONS

Time for another update Nogs! In your notifications the note being reacted to is now embedded below the reaction, and multiple reactions to the same note are grouped together rather than each one having its own reaction. Much cleaner and easier for you to know who's reacting to what.

NOSTRGRAM UPDATE - CLOUDFLARE BOT MITIGATION AND PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS

Hello again Nogs! It's update time. I already posted a bit about this update, but wanted to make a formal announcement for it and add to what I've said so far.

NostrGram is now using CloudFlare for bot mitigation due to a large number of bots spamming the heck out of the site. VPN access was temporarily disabled while CloudFlare spun up and kicked in. Now it's active and the effects look really good so far. 🤞

There are some additional performance benefits of using CloudFlare, particularly for mobile users. I'm using CloudFlare's service to resize and compress images, which is already making a big difference in bandwidth usage. I had something like this built into NG itself, but it didn't work particularly well because a lot of the images weren't able to be compressed with the library I was using. CloudFlare is doing a much better job.

I'm also using a few other CloudFlare compression options which are reducing bandwidth and speeding up delivery and performance. A big benefit to mobile users especially.

CloudFlare clicked in really fast so I've restored VPN access. Query count is still multiples what I believe it should be so I'm still digging into it, but the load is manageable right now so access is open again. Thank you for being understanding while I work this out. Growing pains!

Dealing with a bot problem. I had to block VPN connections for the time being because somebody is spamming the site with bot queries using VPNs. Working on it.
