Just put the spaces link into a note and it will embed it.
I've had a number of people ask me about creating custom Lists like Twitter lets you do. Working on it now...
Watching the notes pop in and the backgrounds fade out now is mesmerizing... π€©
Awesome. Thanks for letting me know so I could fix it!
Ok, refresh and give it a try now. Let me know if it's better.
Ah ok. Brave is slower because it does a lot of additional things for security purposes. I just pushed an update that should make the fading less CPU intensive. Refresh and let me know if it's better.
Ok had another person say the same. I'll make a quick modification so the fade doesn't update as many times and see if that makes a difference. One sec.
Ok, what browser are you using? Chromium browsers have the fastest javascript engine, with Chrome being the best followed by Edge, then Opera/Brave. Chrome is significantly better than the others.
How old is the device you're on? Are you running other things in the background? I ask because I'm not experiencing that at all on my laptop. I was told by one other person that if they were streaming video while working in NG it caused lags.
Just pushed a NostrGram update that makes it more obvious when new notes pop into the feeds in multi-column view. Watch this quick video to see how it works, and let me know what you think!
s/o #[0] for prompting the idea
That doesn't match the aesthetic I'm going for really.
Ok refresh the page and try it now. When in multi-column mode the background of the notes starts gray-ish and fade over about 15 seconds to the normal semi-transparent. Let me know what you think!
Yeah there was literally one line of code that was causing the problems. It was from an external library I'm using. I just modified that one line and BOOM -- no more melting CPU lol
Another one of my #Bitcoin videos dropped on the Konsensus Network channel today. Check it out and see how your brain is geared to pay attention to the distractions of "crypto" but how you can avoid that trap.
That's an interesting idea. Maybe I could have new posts "light up" for a second and fade so you know they're new.
