We had a good day yesterday. It was Little Man's first wake in several years, and I had prepared him about what it would be like. He was a freaking rockstar, you guys. He walked in with my dad, went up to the friend who's wife died, shook his hand and said he would miss "Miss Sue," then he went with my dad to the kneeler, looked at Sue, blessed himself and said a prayer.
Our friend's stepson and grandkids wouldn't even come near the coffin, and they're the ones who wanted the wake. So, I'm going to be a bit obnoxious and pat myself on the back because my almost 5 year old handled things better than the teenage grandkids of the woman who died.

I'm currently writing a speech for a "Prepping Without Panic" presentation I'm giving in 18 days...and Imposter Syndrome is REALLY setting in. There is no need for it, but it's making me really doubt my ability to get up there and speak to who knows HOW many people about this, even though it is something I live and breathe. This sucks you guys, but I'm going to keep on writing, and hope that once it's written and I practice it as much as I possibly can, that the feeling will go away!
