Fresh Coffee Roasted in Bitcoin Beach, El Salvador. Available for Purchase in the USAšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

When complete newbies ask me what Bitcoin is, the first thing I immediately try to drive home is its value compared to fiat. Stressing its limited supply right away is key.

Everyone loves rare stuff, and that usually sparks enough interest for them to start their own research.

Next thing you know, you see them in a few months and they’ve gone full nerd mode- diving deep into the Bitcoin trenches, studying merkle trees and building self-custody wallets that look like middle school calculators!

It all starts with getting them curious.

This is a great ad from Coinbase, could very well be somebody’s original ā€œorange pillā€ moment:

If you aren’t sold on Bitcoin yet- travel more.

Every time I travel to a new place, Bitcoin’s relevance becomes increasingly clear to me.

When you're still using centralized social media in 2025, I guess you still run the risk of having to deal with annoyances like this...šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Recently, when I logged into the Satoshi’s Sip Instagram, I kept getting messages suggesting that they think I'm a bot. I've never done anything out of the ordinary and have never linked my account to any third-party apps. I pretty much only use the account to market our coffee business and connect with customers through DMs—definitely not the usual behavior of a bot!

(And just so you know, we’ve never faced any warnings or community violations until we started mentioning that we joined Nostr... šŸ‘€)

Anyway, I hope my account doesn’t get banned. I want to keep all my options open for reaching customers, and Instagram has millions of potential users who could be interested in our delicious coffee.

That said, I'm really glad I joined Nostr a couple of months ago. It feels great to have a platform that genuinely supports its users, unlike these big centralized corporations! I plan to focus more on my Nostr crowd moving forward- hopefully we can continue to build!

FULL STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS šŸ‘‡

•Step 1: Preheat the French press with hot water (around 200°F). Fill it to the top and let it sit for a moment.

•Step 2: Grab your coffee beans and a spoon. Also, get your scale ready.

•Step 3: Weigh out your desired amount of coffee. (In the video, we chose to do 60g, but you can customize based on your preference.)

•Step 4: Grind your coffee beans. (Tip- Aim for a consistency similar to coarse sea salt.)

•Step 5: Add the coffee grounds to the French Press

•Step 6: Pour in hot water. (A general rule is to pour until all the grounds are fully saturated. Many people start with a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio—1 gram of coffee to 15 grams of water—but you can adjust over time to suit your taste)

•Step 7: Swirl the French press gently, then let it sit for about 30 seconds to allow the coffee to "bloom."

•Step 8: Fill your French Press with more water until it’s ~1 inch from the rim.

•Step 9: Place the lid on and slowly press the plunger halfway down, then pull it back up. This helps ensure an even extraction by fully saturating the grounds.

•Step 10: Let the coffee steep for ~4–5 minutes. Then, slowly press the plunger all the way down.

(Note: Waiting too long or not long enough can lead to over- or under-extraction.)

•Step 11: Serve and enjoy!

Ready to elevate your coffee game? A French Press might look intimidating, but it’s actually super straightforward and easy to use! ā˜•ļø

When utilizing a French Press, you’ll appreciate how it enhances the flavor of your cup and gives you the freedom to customize your brew to your liking. Plus, it’s a wallet-friendly choice since you don’t need paper filters!

I am an American, and I recently returned from another trip to El Salvador. Given that there are still so many outdated headlines, I feel compelled to give my honest thoughts:

EL SALVADOR IS SO RIDICULOUSLY SAFE FOR TOURISTS, to the point that it’s almost comical how incredibly misinformed people can be.

Over the past few years, Salvadorans have worked really hard to reshape their country's reputation, and their efforts have paid off, as evidenced by the tourism boom. However, what I get to see, given my position, is that Salvadorans don’t fully grasp just how many Americans are still really scared to visit.

Unfortunately, the reality is that when I tell my friends that I'm going to El Salvador, they often become unnecessarily nervous for me.

Yes, I’m aware of the country's dark past. But seriously? They still have ā€œtravel warningsā€ up, and the first thing you get when you look up El Salvador are horror stories trying to scare everyone from visiting. Why?

My take— as someone who has visited the country multiple times since 2022, explored various towns, cities, tourist sites, and walked around at night— is that it’s time for travel advisory warnings about El Salvador to be removed once and for all.

I guess I should mention that I haven’t tried walking around cities late at night carrying briefcases with cash, or been passed out on the side of the interstate after a late night at a club. But my gut tells me that if I had to do that, I’d be way better off in El Salvador than most other places in the world.

I feel like it’s Americans in my position who need to share their positive experiences and help eliminate these outdated fears. (That’s actually one of the main reasons I started Satoshi’s Sip: to shine a light on El Salvador's transformation and tell the truth about how the country has changed.)

El Salvador is a beautiful country with great coffee, great beaches, great tourist sites, great volcanoes, and above all, great, kind, and welcoming people. I’ve never been harassed during my visits, and I’ve noticed a strong police presence throughout the country. I’ve also seen school children and young women walking alone, even at night, which speaks to the general safety of the area. It deserves to be recognized as such.

If you're an American who's feeling nervous about booking a trip to El Salvador, I hope this message has reassured you and given you the confidence to go. Don’t let fear or the media hold you back—you’ll have an amazing time. šŸ‡øšŸ‡»šŸ„ā€ā™‚ļø

This is HUGE. So many Americans that I have talked to about El Salvador are still under the misinformed view that it’s not safe. So great to see there are steps being taken to change the narrative

There will be A LOT more American tourists in El Salvador very soon…

Made these ads. Took me a few seconds. Completely free.

For now, we’re fine with letting robots create ads for us, but when it comes time for them to produce AI-generated, lab-grown coffee beans, we’ll decline their help.

Satoshi’s Sip will always stick with classic, old-school, human-harvested and hand-picked coffee beans…

Has studying #bitcoin shifted your perspective or changed you in any way?

If yes, what specifically? šŸ¤”šŸ‘‡

https://m.primal.net/Pxdj.mov

On March 28th, 2013, the market cap of the entire Bitcoin network surpassed $1 billion for the first time.

Fast forward to yesterday, March 27, 2025— and Bitcoin's daily market cap reached a high of $1.73 trillion and a low of $1.716 trillion, indicating a 24hr change of $14 BILLION USD.

That means that yesterday, in a single random day, Bitcoin's market cap fluctuated by 14x what the ENTIRE market cap was just 12 years ago. 🤯

Imagine where we’ll be in another 12 years…

• Bitcoin's fundamentals? Timeless and will remain unchanged. Tick Tock, next block.

• Fiat currencies? Will continue to lose value, and traditional finance will continue to be on a sinking ship.

Inevitably, as passengers on this ship realize they’re going down, more will seek a lifeboat.

The same lifeboat that celebrated 'Billion Dollar Day' in 2013, and will inevitably celebrate '21 Trillion Dollar Day' at some point in the future.

You should probably keep stacking.
