It does need node js but it is super fast .. almost as good as native vim plugins ( if not faster ) .. and no dependence on GUI ..

They have sample config in readme file .. works on both nvim and vim ..

Thanks for the ⚡ s ☺️

I use markdown extension on chrome to see md files written in vim - if I have to !

As for writing docs .. #mdbook is my go to .. with mdbook I can serve the book to localhost which is pretty nice to review the work ..

On vim plug-ins .. my fav is coc-vim .. it has everything - spell checkers and language tool for grammar .. and most of the code analyzers too ..just in case you wanna review code ..

But the primary reason , I stick to vim is it is great in terminal .. firing up GUI on my old desktop makes it super sluggish :-) And my laptop always stays in back pack :-)

That is the thing .. a believer is more than God himself :-)

when you buy #bitcoin - you invest in #nostr .. #amethyst .. #damus .. #lighning .. #cashu .. #liquid ..and every single developer in this space .. and creatives .. and users

#blockchain is just a ledger of long strings - the value exists all around it ..

nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzq3svyhng9ld8sv44950j957j9vchdktj7cxumsep9mvvjthc2pjuqqsy8u7257kj74aqurxnp3x83l0aatg0l2pkx79fpl6znldwmx26j6guh09m6

There will always be forks and they are welcome .. because the value of open source ( btc in this case) doubles at every fork .. at a point it becomes a godly thing that inspires faith ..

bitcoin is what it is because the "idea" has been forked by say 10,000 shitcons :-) .. and thus it became ideology :-)

aren't you happy they pay you .000001 % interest on worthless fiat .. what else you want :-)

Since shifting Mac to Linux, which I'm delighted I did, there's a single app that I'm missing, and it's proving very difficult to replace. That's iA Writer (https://ia.net/writer).

I found Typora (https://typora.io), which is solid, but it, nor any other I've found, have the same writing tools. iA Writer is like having a stern editor at your side. I use also use LanguageTool (https://languagetool.org). Great at grammar, spelling, and the like, but also not the same.

So, what do you use to write well (on Linux)? #asknostr

vim

Welcome and congrats - what you figured out in just few days is the most important aspect of #nostr .. you own your data and you can view it through 100s of clients .. for example , I am writing this reply from my own website without having to use any client ! For creatives , this is a boon - because now you are not locked into one platform .. and your followers can reach you from a client that suits their needs .. and of course they can zap you from anywhere !

I consider myself a "low information person" when it comes of money .. if I am stacking #sats ; I am sure 90 % of world's wealth is after it :-) ... that said , I think bitcoin is the best breakthrough for banks because now they can settle in 30 minutes rather than waiting for 3 days . In many cases settlement takes more than a month .. as far as inflating the money supply - they will still do that because they can always issue loans in fiat .. fiat is not going away ..at least in our lifetime ..

My thesis is as the western nations start pegging their currencies to btc , BRICKS would increasingly get back to gold .. so both btc and gold shall move hand in hand !

That is a great idea something that keeps clicking my mind ..but I am not sure how gold and btc would join hands .. I always thought of a direct conversion exchange would be good bypassing the fiat but that involves physically moving the rocks which seems impossible !

The point was - why change anything? Because most corporations crumble under their own weight ... GE was once invincible, so was SONY :-)

The best way to regulate is NOT regulate at all and let the competition play itself out ..

Currencies are pegged to the assets of a sovereign .

Equities are pegged to the expected performance of a listed corporation.

$MSTR is a blend of equity and currency - because it is issued by a listed corporation but it is pegged to an asset .. #bitcoin

In that, it is the first of its kind...

And it opens many new opportunities ...

2024 - only seven states out of fifty matter - the rest are single-party states ... #democracy is already restrained to 14 % of states .. population-wise much lower I suspect less than 5 %

Before a state participates in US politics - it must become a swing state!

Year end :

One kilo of #gold = 1 #bitcoin = 89 k

2025

2 kilo of gold = 1 #btc

2026

3 kilo = 1

2027

4 = 1

2034

10 = 1

Keep adjusting your clubs accordingly:-)

Btw - this tracks to nakamoto portfolio in 2034 .. math done ✅
