Fiat is just a doing great:
Iranian parliament approves currency redenomination - Iran will cut off “0000” from their fiat bills - today 10,000 riyals will become 1.
The rial collapsed versus the US dollar since 2019 (≈27× weaker in the parallel market). Holding BTC would have massively outperformed holding rials (~x890 from early 2019 to today).
Now ask yourself a question: is a 1 day meal, gas tank, or any commodity valued less in Iran vs the rest of the world? This is just syphoning out the value from one society to another… possible just in fiat because of endless printing, sanctions etc.

As fiat currencies lose value through endless printing (just wait for us fed gov to open again $$$ goes brrr), Bitcoin’s fixed supply shines brighter. When purchasing power drains from fiat, the value naturally flows toward BTC, the hardest money ever created.

we did some zap tests on this note… we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, at joozeph@speed.app, over a period of 4 minutes. six of the zaps were successfully paid... please check for 6 satoshis received. problem: we found that your lightning address server **did not* properly produce zap receipts, and/or didn't send the zap receipts to the relays specified in the zap. (the zap spec requires that the zap receipts be sent to the relays specified in the zap.) this means a nostr user who zaps you might not see a number appearing next to the ⚡ icon after zapping.... if you wanted to fix this... you could try getting a free rizful lightning address -- https://rizful.com ... if u get it set up, pls reply here so we can do this ⚡zap test again.
Thanks for the note - got the 6 sats - need to get my head around the relay thing - stay tuned

Perfect money:
✅ durability
✅ portability
✅ divisibility
✅ uniformity
✅ limited supply
❗ acceptability
The last one - btc acceptability - is an indication that we are still early!
There are some signs, e.g. in Kenya, of an increased p2p acceptability. Still in the end the merchants need still fiat to function.
Little strokes fell big oaks.

Why don’t we learn from history?
Money corruption is not new!
E.g. in Ancient Rome, money wasn’t just debased—it was weaponized. Silver coins were gradually mixed with cheaper metals, eroding trust and fueling inflation. Soldiers demanded higher pay, goods cost more, and the empire’s stability crumbled. Monetary corruption hollowed out Rome from within.

Good day for a DCA!
Saving in bitcoin became my method too! I like your journey to 1 btc. Keep stacking
Ancient Rome: The silver denarius once held over 90% silver. By the 3rd century CE, it contained less than 5%. Inflation soared, trade faltered, and confidence collapsed, contributing to Rome’s economic decline.
China, 13th century: The Yuan dynasty pioneered paper money. Initially backed by silver, the government later printed excessive notes without restraint. Trust evaporated, prices skyrocketed, and paper currency was abandoned for centuries.
Weimar Germany, 1920s: Facing war reparations, the government printed marks at breakneck speed. Hyperinflation made wages worthless overnight — workers were paid twice a day so they could spend before prices doubled.
Zimbabwe, 2000s: Political turmoil and reckless printing led to inflation peaking at an estimated 79.6 billion percent per month. The Zimbabwe dollar became so worthless that trillion-dollar notes were issued — and still couldn’t buy bread.
Venezuela, 2010s: Oil dependency and mismanagement led to uncontrolled money printing. The bolívar lost almost all value, pushing citizens into barter, U.S. dollars, or crypto just to survive.
USA, 20??s: ………….
They are the Fiatellos !
What do I do to increase my sats stack? Simple:
1) dca each month
2) sell my junk, old items when I can - all proceeds go towards btc stack
