Seeing the events unfolding in occupied #Palestine fucking sucks. We've been helpless in preventing the systematic genocide for 75 years. Helpless to prevent apartheid, and the ongoing killings of Palestinians and dispossession of their lands. Helpless but not hopeless.
In this abyss of helplessness, a realization settles in – salvation will not descend upon us from benevolent forces. No savior will emerge from the shadows. It is upon us, the forsaken, to salvage our fate. To unravel the chains of oppression, we must embrace the anarchic spirit within us. We must become ungovernable.
Hope today comes in the form of technological tools that, while not a panacea, are instruments of empowerment. Tools that can empower the indomitable spirit of individual Palestinians and Arabs in our shared struggle for liberation and self-determination.
Let’s start with communication tools. Social media platforms censor, ban, or shadow-ban anti-mainstream narratives. This is happening on a mass scale, and algorithms are designed to feed you content you agree with, and block content you disagree with. This is because we’re using centralized social media platforms FB, Insta, X, whatever. These companies have to comply with their government directives to censor content. We saw this in overdrive during COVID-19 and now see these platforms limiting the reach of content exposing the ongoing genocide and extermination of Gaza. Their weakness is their centralization. There’s a head that governments can go after. Thankfully there is now an alternative technology, that's unstoppable, uncensorable, and uncontrollable by any single person or entity. Let me tell you about NOSTR.
What is NOSTR?
NOSTR stands for Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relay (shitty name, but a super powerful tool). Think of Nostr as a social network, built similar to Twitter, where you can create posts or “notes” (like a tweet), like posts, follow and unfollow people). BUT The most important thing is that Nostr is a protocol, not an app.
It’s a set of rules that servers and clients use to communicate (just like, email, Bittorrent or bitcoin). Nostr is not an app nor a “platform” (like Twitter, Facebook, etc.), but many applications can be built on top of Nostr.
In the words of Edward Snowden nostr:npub1sn0wdenkukak0d9dfczzeacvhkrgz92ak56egt7vdgzn8pv2wfqqhrjdv9 , one of the early users of NOSTR “If a platform is a silo, a protocol is a river: no one owns it, and everyone is free to swim.”
Unlike Twitter or Facebook, Nostr is decentralized. There are no central servers or corporations that control what you can post and what others can see. Nostr is censorship-resistant and open source. The license for Nostr is simply “Public Domain.” Link below.👇
How do I use Nostr?
To create a Nostr account, simply log into any mobile/web client and generate a public/private key pair (list of nostr clients below) That’s all. There’s no signing in with email or anything like that.
Think of your private key as your password; DO NOT SHARE IT WITH ANYONE. To find another Nostr user, you just need to search in your client of choice using their public key.

Why is NOSTR important?
In an age of increased surveillance enabled by big tech, centralized systems, NOSTR is the antidote. Free & open communication.
Take some time to familiarize yourself with #NOSTR. It's our tool to fight censorship and have free communication.
Right now, Palestinians are being exterminated and the social media accounts posting about it are either being banned or shadowbanned. If your account is not facing these restrictions, it's only because your following is not big enough to make a difference.
Start building your NOSTR network now, so that when you do get banned, you are prepared. Your followers will know where to find you.

The second aspect of the resistance is money. If you do not have control over your money, you are not free. The powers that be can easily confiscate or freeze the money in your bank account. This is where decentralized, open-source, self-custodial money comes into play. #BITCOIN. NOT CRYPTO, BITCOIN (This is a very important point. Take the time to study bitcoin. Just know BITCOIN, is not CRYPTO. Crypto is not decentralized, there are companies and individuals behind every other crypto project, which makes them subject to state capture and control just like social media platforms)
Did I mention you can send bitcoin across NOSTR to anyone in the world, directly, without asking permission? Yup. but that’s a discussion for another day.

So many “smart” people I followed & respected on twitter, men & women of “intellect”, puked out some disgusting tweets about Palestine… “give them hell ” “end the gene pool” “any degree of retaliation is justified”… it sucks honestly.
How can you stand for open permissionless systems, against the fiat surveillance state, against colonialism on one hand. And on the other blame the imprisoned, oppressed, occupied people who resist their occupiers?
When an occupied and oppressed people, who have been enduring decades of apartheid and unimaginable violence, desperately fight back… How can you call that reaction an unprovoked act?! The level of willful ignorance or cognitive dissonance is truly disheartening.
The human spirit and desire for self determination is undefeated. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
