Homeschooling, ham radio operating, homesteading, pagan family on a 1/2 acre in North Central Illinois. Fitting in writing a novel somewhere in there as well. Oldest has decided to sell some of her patch collection to fund supplies to start selling her paintings. We are going to utilize our Etsy page in the future and post other places when she has some done. I’m super excited for her! We have homeschooled from the beginning and I love how she is choosing to spend her free time. I can’t wait to see some of the designs she is going to come out with.

Would love to have the zaps I get from people I don’t follow yet show up in the zap notification. Right now only people I follow show up

We add ours to yogurt as well! So good

Homemade salve made with freeze dried comfrey and patches available. Will also take zaps for a discount if you dm me where to send them

We had one bantam chicken from our last flock named Boomba that had we processed them (instead of going to brothers farm) she was spared. Also our big buck rabbit, Thor is also destined to live out his life here because he’s so sweet

This is homeschooling today. The weather is getting nicer and my two chicks are outside building worlds with their Breyer horses in the front yard.

Looks like we will be getting back into going to village board meetings. Chicken keeping was brought up again with lowering the amount we can keep. In this day and age where food prices are high and eggs cost a fortune not that long ago it is insane to ask chicken owners to lower how many they have. Especially when they are already below the current amount “allowed”.

Neighbors of chicken owners often benefit with having eggs and compost available to them as well.

Two years ago we fought for what we were allowed to do and we will fight it again. But this time we have kids who are older and have had chickens in their back yard for as long as they can remember and will speak up as well!
