I have onboarded newbies that use npub.cash and nsec.app on iOS. It's not that difficult. Plus you get private transactions.
What do you adopt then, if sovereignty and privacy don’t matter? Government-controlled digital gold?
One could argue that bitcoin is/could be an onramp into monero. The problem is that it is hard to move funds into monero without government scrutiny. And newbies will have a hard time not breaking their anonymity. Leak your IP once and that could expose you, etc. I hope i'm wrong about this, however.

I’m about as orange-pilled as they come, but it’s due to the arguments and reasons for it, not because I’m part of the congregation, so to speak. And keep in mind Saylor was the guy who really sealed the deal for me in the first place.
In his defense, he did start off by saying everyone there had seen his videos 20 times, so he had to come up with new material, and it was listenable because he’s a good speaker.
But this felt a bit hollow, like a pep rally. Only tagging him because he said he wanted feedback, and I assume by this he meant honest feedback.

Almost all open source android software you can get through Obtainium, but Obtainium is not in the play store. I think you have to use f-droid.

Yes. If you are an apple user and can't use minibits then the alternative is npub.cash
i use it with NIP-46 and nsec.app but i have to have both apps open at once so the two apps can talk to each other.

Mutiny will cost you money to setup in tx fees. You could try minibits if you run android, and get a free LN Address to receive sats without it costi g a single sat.
