Light of Darkness

I know how many people were there for me when I was dying--- Zero.

The online sites for mental health,-- zero support.

Family -- zero support.

Friends -- no friends. All people I knew of had been promoted to best levels they didn't even qualify for.

But how many people call me bitter, nasty, confusing, monstrous, rebellious, unfriendly, someone who lacks empathy and sympathy ---- EVERYONE.

No one was there. My work was worthless, my brain was worthless, my hands did worthless work.

Who asks me to be more kind-- all those who were not there for me.

I cleaned myself, I cooked food for myself, washed my clothes, and also went to hospital on my own. No one there for me. And everyone I know today and yesterday - each one of them treated me like trash.

So who is responsible for real?

Scoundrels wear the cloak of saints to abuse the meek and powerless, such is lust for power, that can't keep them from turning to dust.

Not to play another game ? Are the two sentences about the same game?

I’m saying this to everyone on nostr with love, I wish that you could hear my tone.

Folks in general won’t care about the tech. It is incredible and most people won’t care in the slightest.

Folks in general won’t care about coming to Nostr because of Bitcoin too much but they will use zaps when they arrive.

Folks in general don’t particularly care about their own freedoms. They will beg corporate tech providers for digital ID for convenience just for the illusion of safety. They don’t particularly care about free speech either, they say that they care but they don’t. They don’t particularly care about privacy or the NSA/CIA/FBI being all up inside our tech providers. They don’t actually care. They just want to feel safe.

If folks come to Nostr it will be because they either seek out a specific community and or probably because it will have an edgy underground sex appeal that will bring artists, activists and journalists (not the corny kind but the edgy kind. The ones who actually move culture and shift the vibe.) In general people are followers. If they come it’s because they will want to feel hip (it’s gross but true.)

The good news about all of that is that the masses are rather insufferable mushed together screaming at one another. Corporate tech has a lot of problems Nostr gets to avoid right now by being smaller. On top of all of it remaining slightly smaller for now while corporate tech is being pummeled by legislation globally isn’t a bad thing.

Posting about bitcoin won’t bring the people. Being better tech won’t bring the people. Freedom won’t bring the people. It will probably be a popular makeup artist that likes zaps or something that brings the people. nostr:note1yt7fspdv3rt3jlk4h420vxk4stah5tkwx6zdlc44uk4fhwfcg8js7g9j2p

HiJack! HiJack! ( I always wanted to say this )

DuckDuckgo is a better search engine.

What if someone is on Nostr for sake of anonymity? Most apps require data of user, while nostr doesn't. Most apps regulate the feed based on user preferences, which means every user has a profile, a category. With categorisation comes discrimination. A random approach probably would make one feel a little lost, but aren't we all travellers on a scavenger hunt anyway? A mixed tribe doesn't make one feel left out, unless they are too fixated in their niche and consider everything else imaginary.

Where do I look for English legal cases of 18th century? Google can't come up with answers it seems.

The Little Ice Age, spanning roughly the 14th-19th centuries, was a period of significant cooling that affected Europe & other parts of the world.

This temporary climate change led to the unjust murder of many tens of thousands of "witches."

But how did this happen, and why does it matter today?

Failing Crops & Famine? Blame a witch!

The colder temperatures of the Little Ice Age caused crops to fail and shortened growing seasons, leading to food shortages and famine.

Hungry & desperate populations searched for someone to blame...

Weather? No, no...

Witches? Yes, yes!

Economic Woes? Blame a witch!

As agriculture suffered, economic hardships ensued. In an attempt to explain the seemingly endless streak of misfortune, communities grew suspicious of those they believed were working against the common good.

“I’m poor and it’s your fault, witch!”

Unusual Weather? Blame a witch!

The era witnessed extreme weather, from prolonged cold snaps to out-of-season storms. Such unpredictable events were frightening & seemed unnatural.

“Surely someone is to blame…”

Natural climate change? No, no…

Witches? Yes, yes!

Need a Scapegoat? Blame a witch!

In the face of uncontrollable yet natural environmental changes, societies looked for scapegoats to explain their misfortunes.

Witches, often marginalized individuals like widows or those living outside societal norms, became convenient targets.

The timeline of the Little Ice Age intersected with deeply ingrained religious beliefs & superstitions.

The notion that witches (normal people) could manipulate weather & ruin crops seemed reasonable.

It was inconceivable that this was simply natural climate change.

Social & Political Control:

The witch trials themselves became a method of exerting control & maintaining order during times of chaos.

Accusations & trials served to suppress dissent, sideline rivals, & consolidate power.

Speaking out against the government?!

Burn the WITCH!

The Little Ice Age created an atmosphere of desperation & uncertainty.

The climate was changing & they had no way to understand it.

They wanted answers.

They wanted solutions.

The witch trials emerged as an unfortunate consequence of the inability to accept natural change.

Today we think of ourselves as less superstitious & more grounded in reality & "The Science" than 14th century peasants. But are we?

Or have we simply grown even more certain of our ability as humans to play god & know the truth, believing with certainty we have all the answers?

Are we more enlightened than the uneducated masses burning witches during the Little Ice Age?

Or are we more educated, but just as confused and lost?

Are we searching for the truth, or are we simply searching for meaning?

Do we want to find solutions, or just scapegoats?

Is there a denial anywhere that witchcraft wasn't practiced in England, Africa or Asia? Sacrificial rites continue till date, and every one believes in mysteries,as they create hope. Alternative is to accept reality, to accept we are here to suffer, but when the pain passes the threshold, all explanations want to turn to prayers, and the evil cult walks in, instead of belief in God and Universe.

So apparently I disobey the entire Government to follow rules elsewhere?!

I,now, understand why everyone has been asking me to pray - because only God can cure me.

You do realise you have used nostr like Twitter. There are no notes from your side, only few words, and if the audience is lucky, a complete sentence or two, which is understandable as you do not have the entire day to post an elaborate note.

There might be things you do in the background, but the statement is contradicting your style that appears to the viewers.

I lost my New Testament

How many Americans know that Russia is a part of Asia, along with Mongolia and Kazakhstan?
