I think the outbox model is supposed to connect to author relays on its own, but it might only do that if you’re pulling in the same authors often enough. If it’s not happening, maybe NDK isn’t getting enough signals to know which relays to check. Could be worth looking into how it decides which relays to connect to beyond the ones you set manually.

One of the most exciting parts of building Evento has been seeing how people are using it to connect, share ideas, and spark real change. Patrick has been helping Bitcoin clubs at four universities in Kenya organize events, including screenings of the God Bless Bitcoin documentary to spark conversations about financial independence, inflation, and why decentralized systems matter. He has brought hundreds of students together to learn about Bitcoin through Evento. Pretty awesome!

"As a Bitcoin Student Ambassador, GodBless Bitcoin, and Evento Ambassador here in Kenya, I’ve seen firsthand how Bitcoin is creating opportunities for students like me. Through my role with GodBless Bitcoin, we’re hosting screenings of a film about Bitcoin vs. fiat to spark conversations around financial independence, inflation, and why decentralized systems matter—especially in a country where unstable currencies and limited banking access hold a lot of people back.

Evento has been a game-changer for us. I use it to organize film screenings, workshops, and cross-campus meetups that bring students together from different universities. Just two weeks ago, we had over 200 students join a hybrid event to watch the film and debate Bitcoin’s future in Kenya. The energy in the room was unreal—so many students left wanting to dive deeper into Bitcoin.

Evento isn’t just an app to plan events. It’s a tool that makes collaboration easy. It’s helped me connect with grassroots leaders, professors, and other ambassadors to create events that break down the complexities of Bitcoin. Next up? A ‘Bitcoin Basics’ roadshow we’re organizing with students from multiple universities."
