Salt flats, Utah (cont.) Portra 400
Despite the lack of subject at the focal point, i still kinda like this one.

Salt flats, Utah (cont.) not sure what film stock this was, either Portra 400 or Kodak 400.
Pro tip for when you go to the Salt flats, especially if you plan to step in the water, don't bring shoes that you care about.

This was an otherworldly experience. I pray for the state of my cars structural integrity now.

Neat little town, only stayed for the night, had some great tacos at a food truck. Early morning headed straight for the salt flats which I'll be posting soon.

I still can't believe this place is real and that people live here. They have truly won at life.

My jaw was hanging throughout this whole drive, I'm so glad I took that detour from Salt Lake City to Jackson WY

Why are people talking about Litecoin all of the sudden?
It couldn't even break its 2017 top in USD denomination, let alone its BTC denomination which is an UGLY chart if you haven't seen it already.
I thought we all silently agreed that it was dead?
I forget which film stock i took this on, but I know it was my Canon ae1 that took it.

A follow up to my previous post.
This is where I had camped out that night after my brush with death. This was taken just before the sun crept over the hills.

***Story Time***
When I took this picture, it was the first morning during my road trip from California to South Dakota, but this wasn't where I intended on spending the night.
This was about 40 miles out of Elko Nevada, in the middle of nowhere, parked on the side of the road just off the highway. How I ended up here was a double blow out of my rear tires.
I was overtaking a semi doing about [[[the speed limit]]] and the moment I got ahead of him, both of my rear tires suddenly blew out.
I swerved all the way off into the shoulder, attempted to recover and swerved into the opposite shoulder.
My car was full of everything I owned, so I was heavy, and I knew if I hit the grass, it was game over. One last time I swerved back into the opposite shoulder and managed to get myself straight.
I pulled off at the next exit, saw the damage, and realizing I was in the middle of nowhere, I decided to camp out and get a tow in the morning, of course sleep didn't come easy after staring death in the face like that, but I managed to get a few hours.
Waking up to this view, I had to wonder if I was even still alive at that point and if I had died the night before.

Power went out in the whole city.
Stuck at work with nothing to do for another hour supposedly.
Free sats I guess at least.

More from Sioux Falls on the unknown expired film.

Sioux Falls apartments captured on some expired film I snagged from a thrift store.
I don't know why but this picture always gives me the vibe of high school math book cover.
The colors on this film were quite nice tho, the primary colors really pop.

I enjoy this film stock, but I feel it is greatly over-hyped.
I don't understand why people love it, though. Its colors are a but more true to life, and I kinda like to lean towards film that show color differently.

And here's the CRT I get to watch it on.
A 1985 Quasar. It's actually the second one I ordered because the first one unfortunately got smashed to bits in the mail.
The second one I ordered, this one, shorted somewhere on the circuit board and nearly fried everything.
Lucky a friend of mine fixed it and in return I gave him the first one I ordered and he said he's going to 3d print a new case for it.
Such a unique little piece of history, it's good to see they will both continue to survive through all the torture they've gone through
