Nothing works well IMO. Probably the relays just aren’t that good. For example, no matter which app I use it can’t persist people I want to follow even when I add in my personal relay. Anyway, still love browsing randomly and currently using Primal.
Now it’s gone again lol.
Thank you for confirming my sanity. Bummed to hear this, I thought it had been around long enough it would work reasonably well.
Thanks for the response. I suspect something to do with relay lag maybe rather than Damus for some of this, but I don’t know…
Now stuff shows under the Notes and Notes & Replies tab, so maybe venting is helping…! I will give Primal a try, it’s next on the list.
Also despite making 2 posts so far, they don’t show up in Damus under Notes or Notes & Replies tabs. I hope I’m missing something here, but to respond to this posts I had to search for myself, find this post, then reply to it. Feels like I’m conversing with the void.
Honestly at some age you just stop trying. Life is too short. Find your people and hang out with them, let the rest figure it out if they ever will. If you do engage, listen and be respectful then tell them what you think. If they’re hostile then bail #failfast
I must be missing something. I’ve spent way too much time with Damus trying to do stuff and nothing works. Without changing default settings, and starting from scratch, I can’t do:
- follow somebody
- see what I tried to follow
- see my notes/posts
- add a relay (the add button just no-ops)
- on the desktop the camera integration doesn’t work, even after allowing access and restarting Damus multiple times. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Tried on both an iPhone and a Mac. About to give up. I really want to love nostr but Damus seems buggy as hell and I also tried Nostur but it has the follow button disabled so it doesn’t work much better. At least Nostur will add relays. I’m thinking to myself “good luck if you want to onboard normies to this” :|

Completely new to Damus but I can’t figure out how to see who I’m following or how to see a feed of those I’m following. What gives?
