"Infinite" is a short hand for "unbounded upwards". So, yes, they do have infinite capacity to create money.

I'm not entirely sure why prices are still rising. De-dollarization could certainly be part of it.

It also can take a while for newly printed money to actually push prices up. Fifteen months is a long lag, but they also printed a ton of new money before that.

Yeah. I've been surprised that this hasn't been bigger financial news. It's alarming that prices are continuing to rise at such an elevated level while the money supply is contracting.

When you put it like that it doesn't sound so bad.
