I’ve been on here a good while (like at least a year) and have loved every minute of it.

Other socials are either in a state of slow collapse or trending towards the dead internet hypothesis (FB, Twitter) or they are captured by their own grotesque algorithms spewing out smut and violence porn (IG). Whereas Nostr has been all the right vibes. Plus it’s a SM space that DOES NOT punish the user for stepping away (for any amount of time) and then coming back to engage more later.

The interoperability is killer, bitcoin integration is great, and the services being built on Nostr are rad. It’s like participating in the bootstrapping of a parallel, open internet.

Yall remember when the global Covid industry complex, which was using Greek letter classifications jumped from Mu to Omicron, under the argument that “Nu Variant” which comes after Mu, would be too confusing as it was sound like “New Variant” as though Covid was taking a page from Apple’s past product launch strategy.

What they left out was that it was a super convenient time to make that exact jump of letters, because in jumping from Mu to Omicron, they also VERY MYSTERIOUSLY jumped over “Xi” which comes after Nu. They just couldn’t have had the world talking about a “Xi variant” running rampant.

You can’t make this shit up. Never forget.
