I’m old enough to remember when u could drive a car on the highway in relative peace.

Society has become so boomerfied & zoomerfied that it’s like a nursing home & a children’s play pen all in one.

Everything is “for your safety” and every service provider's priority is "your safety" - as if they actually give a shit about you.

From the humiliation rituals at the airport, to the masks during lockdowns, to the helmets being enforced on scooters & their non allowance after 11pm in places like Oslo (in Spain they're banning under 21's from electric scooters...lol), to the modern cars that beep at you about everything from a seat belt, to lane change alerts on the highway.

All of it is designed for the lowest common denominator of mid-wit. It's an insult to anyone with a brain and some agency. And for everyone else, it trains them to be ever more soy-jacked, dependent and useless.

All the more reason to build a parallel society, including our own cars, our own cities, our own roads, our own social networks, our own airports, our own airlines and our own city-states.

Does the lane change beep when someone is in the lane next to you? Or just changing lanes?

Mine beeps when backing up and someone passes behind me. Annoying? Yes. But sometimes useful in busy areas.

I won't buy a car with all that BS. Getting into friends' newer cars is awful.

Where did modern technology touch you Svetski 😂

Gen-X here, well said brother! This is an absolute clown world we live in!! I hope I live long enough to see what you speak of happen and to be a part of leaving this current shit show that is upon us all now for something better, and the sooner the better! Just don't know how we can all get on the same page to make it happen. Everyone seems to be on their own agenda, and not giving a crap about anyone else.

As someone who was in the auto engineering industry for 7 years, It's arguably as regulated as guns and drugs in the US. Except at least when your door gets kicked in for guns or drugs, you have past precedent and court systems and attorneys that have experience. If you do something wrong in auto, you get your doors kicked in, a felony and no way to fight it.

Glad I don't have that problem.

A thing of beauty

Strong money will just more efficiently direct the capital to better goods and services and that incentive will force both new and existing producers to build better
