Bitcoin is outlaw money of the base of the pyramid up…government policy toward Bitcoin is only marginally relevant. We only worry about it here because we’ve all had the cosmic luxury of never or very rather being in situations requiring using tools outside of the system

Great article! I've been thinking about writing something in a similar vein - i.e. how a "trustless system" actually leads to more trust being built in society overall. Haven't gotten to it yet though, but in the meantime, I'll be glad to reference your work if/when the subject comes up :)

We don’t “need more women” in Bitcoin. We also don’t need more men in Bitcoin. What we need is more families in Bitcoin, more businesses in Bitcoin, more communities in Bitcoin.

There’s an old saying: “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.”

Until now, we have gone fast, and for the most part, it has worked out great. But in the near future, we need to get more focused on going far, especially as the incumbent system crumbles.

Humans are a social species for a reason. None of us are meant to do it alone. Our successes and failures are interdependent on each other. Times ahead may be rough but if we can take care of ourselves, our surroundings and the people around us, then no dark forces can hold us down or stop us from achieving the highest versions of ourselves, and consequently, the world.

I would say using rhetoric like “red hats” does nothing to heal the (largely social media driven) divide the country faces - esp if you are actually seeking input from the other side. We are all Americans getting fucked equally the same, by (largely) the same people. Let’s start seeing each other as such and stop playing the identity politics game (this includes myself and past rhetoric). Definitely continue to speak up against what you believe in though. We need more open dialogue!

Credit where credit is due. Though I am curious about who we gave up in return (haven’t followed). As for Assange- obviously incredible, I do wonder what the plea deal was though.
