Aye, every little bit helps! ^^
Was going to set up an automated exporter job with Rclone and ProtonDrive to just back stuff up there. It's the only cloud provider I would genuely trust with that key aside from my own disks. But this is a key I most definitively want in more than one location...
Thanks for your cents on this tho! =)
What are some good LSPs? Need to get some incoming liquidity to move some funds from various wallets
Lightning Service Providers, perhaps?
Only tried bitrefill - used it to charge up a prepaid MasterCard and then dumped it all into Genshin XD. (But for my friends first, THEN for myself).
However, KYC on those master cards is craycray, do keep away from them o-o
Now _that_ is a weird one alright o.o I sure have heared many covers of Metallica but this one feels just a touch different x3

Welp, my vision's starting to get blurry - time to pull my head out of my terminal... @.@ Anyway, this is where I am at for now.

And this... this is a mess. x-x

My own tor, i2pd, bitcoin and lightning node...
Medium.
But germany is slow so... should be fine. o.o
I am so, SO, _SO_ close to do something awesome and I am stoked as fuck. Once I get this CI/CD set up and working, Im gonna be producing builds of all the things I use in the way that I like it; a dufs-based Snort container, statically compiled strfry with better in-container policy support, nsecbunkerd with a proper setup, libretro-super builds for webOS TVs and many RISC-V containers that I can then deploy to my VisionFive2.
I got Cert Manager, External Secrets and a few others working and running. But once I have CI/CD, and a way to safely upload certain secrets to Github (there seems to be a tool called kubeseal for that!), I can make the whole stack open source too.
And, ontop of that, once I figure out how to use this Go tool "mgmt" properly, I can go even FURTHER and set up node provisioning. And beyond that lies the end-boss: Alpine 3.19 autobuilds for RISC-V with the VF2 mega-kernel (VF2 + ImaginaryGPU kernel sources, merged, to enable every. single. feature.).
I will finally be using my whole compute properly. And if I do get the Milk-V Oasis by the end of the year and add another 16 cores of RISC-V to my home, it's time to go fully and entirely craycray :D
Hype, hype, hyyyyyype. ^_^
Google produces some awesome stuff; too bad it's burried underneath all the other hubris. x)
I've had my fair fight with Postfix and Dovecot some years ago when I wanted to do email hosting myself. Well, about a decade ago. And from what you are saying, just about nothing has changed since! xD /Fantastic.../
Phone and Mail are two of the world's most essential things; but the software to use/run them is so insanely archaic, it's actually a little unbelievable.
Speaking of 3CX, I had to help a customer who somehow, accidentially, broke their 3CX instance. Turns out that they forgot to reconfigure the DNS servers on the box; so I SSH'd in and did it manually - good old /etc/resolv.conf. Haven't heared a complaint since. But while I had the chance, I absolutely crawled the whole interface and I kinda liked it.
FusionPBX isn't completely terrible - just, my ISP is. xD I have to figure out my creds' proper scheme... at some point, eventually. I'm glad the PPPoE creds they gave me actually _worked_. I have a username, password, server (whose DNS name only resolves when using their own and specific resolvers!) and something they call a VOIP PIN... But after this absolute marathon of being shocked and mentally shaken to pieces, I just haven't had the wish to sit down on it and work it out entirely. I just... couldn't.
Like, sitting there and realizing how "closed" the whole system is whilst it is actually based on technically open source software, kinda broke my heart, a bit, at least. It was... quite something.
Huh? o.o Github Actions have cronjobs? Coulda sworn they only act on push/pull/pr...
Just spotted: #lume https://github.com/lume/lume/releases/tag/v0.3.0-alpha.42
NIPs being all below 100.
Might just be my memory being bork, but didn't fiatjaf state that having >100 nips might become a problem?
Again, could be wrong...
E2EE DMs are coming to Nostr 🔒
After being nerd sniped by hearing nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8 mention OTR for the millionth time on the Bitcoin Review podcast, I spent the last few weeks digging into OTR, the Signal protocol, and a grab-bag of other cryptography.
The end result is that I (am pretty sure at least) that I found a way to do E2EE (end-to-end encrypted) DMs on Nostr in a way that is both forward and post-compromise secure AND doesn't require any centralized servers.

And finally, the NIP (for those of you with bikes in need of a shed): https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/1206
Huge thanks to nostr:npub1klkk3vrzme455yh9rl2jshq7rc8dpegj3ndf82c3ks2sk40dxt7qulx3vt and nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft for the chats while I worked out the details.
Let's fkn go! I am not a crypto expert, so I was experimenting with mutual cryptography (sharing a key that is never put online, anywhere, ever) in a package with a shared npub/nsec so all DMs would be hidden in just a single keypair with the actual message in .content being encrypted by the mutual key and resolving to regular DM messages.
But this is MUCH MUUUUUUCH better. Thank you for making it!
We got nostr:nprofile1qyvhwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnndehhyapwwdhkx6tpdshszxnhwden5te0wpuhyctdd9jzuenfv96x5ctx9e3k7mf0qyfhwumn8ghj7ur4wfcxcetsv9njuetn9uqzq9eemymaerqvwdc25f6ctyuvzx0zt3qld3zp5hf5cmfc2qlrzdh0dmngeh 's Double Ratchet DMs incoming. Who is going to code MLS for Group-Ratchet DMs?
We're sliding out of the <100 ?
Ok, who'll fork this and turn it into a Nostr client that filters for video posts? xD
I am at entry 226. ^^
