The perfect Magic the Gathering companion app as far as I’m concerned.

The playful ui, how it shows difference as you adjust life totals, and the fun end game animations are just perfect.

Super impressed with Ikea smart home lighting products. For 13 EUR you get a smart bulb and remote control. You can configure the remote to do whatever. I remapped the on button to toggle the bulb, freeing the off button to toggle a different light.

Setup includes turning the bulb on and off 6 time to put it in sync mode so zigbee2mqtt can pick it up. Clever.

Got my self-hosted site analytics up and running again. I like how clean and simple Umami is.

Started a Homelab project to self-host my personal site and a few other services. So far the struggle is real. Every time I get past a bug another one presents itself.

Perched on a bench overlooking the port I’m googling the big ships. Computer controlled sails, three masts, with plenty of room for guests this boat, docked just below, is a beast. Owned and operated by Windstar Cruises. Seems to be fairing better than its sister ship.

Looking forward to passing the controller back and forth with my partner for GTA 6.

My NAS is a Synology two bay. Was planning to eventually upgrade to one of their bigger ones; but after hearing they will only support their own HDDs going forward, nope.

New favorite specialty coffee cafe in Vienna. Good Coffee Society near Prater. Super good service, yummy pancakes, and as name suggests good coffee.

My WiFi password is not comparable with cmake command line arguments. No problem I’ll just remove the # symbol and save network settings. WiFi out for one hour 👍.

I left the series around ~Assassin's Creed Revelations. Quite some years have passed, but the games still deliver a fulfilling experience.

In a preview for the new Assassin's Creed Shadows (Feudal Japan looks epic!) I saw an interesting feature. Activities on the map / bird vision are white dots and as a player you have to go explore them yourself to find out the location type. This sounds great in my head "oh yeah I don't want the game to tell me too much. I want to explore and discover things myself". As a tired father of a toddler playing Valhalla, I'm super glad it shows me which locations are what. I don't have the extra patience to go explore unless I know there is treasure waiting for me.

Started playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla I'm impressed! Beautiful world which throws you right into the fray with the ability fight like a bad ass and command a longship. No hours of feeling low level character.

On Demand Channel = OCD or ODD?? My spelling today.

Loving the start of Common Side Effects. Lot more approachable than Scavengers Reign, but still the same beautiful creative animations.
