I left the city.
But, when I'm the next time n the city - for sure I go to the same merchant, to check the ability to pay using Monero. :)
Bitcoin maxis were yelling at me that "nAw itZ maCH BetAr!1!"
It's not.
Decided to try it one more time + their other recent tech.
I have Zeus wallet (on GrapheneOS) with an embedded Lightning node (LND), and I've opened a channel with a pretty big and stable LN node.
So, as you can see, I was trying to do it in the "proper" way. Or maybe, is the proper way when both have a Wallet of Satoshi?
Merchant obviously tried to get these BTC from me. He was generating invoices, something looked in the wallet settings, and all four times I got the error that is on the screenshot.
I paid with cash, and left.
Which Nostr client for Android and Web do you use, and why?
Today I tried 4 times to pay for ice cream using a phenomenal crutch called Lightning Network.
And I always got the error you see in the screenshot.
Even though the merchant was using Wallet of Satoshi (essentially an Excel version of Bitcoin), that is, even with this level of centralization it was not possible to take advantage of this wonderful technology.
Explained to him that with Monero he would have no problems with on-chain payment, that the fees on the network are $0.02 dollars + privacy by default.
He said he would create an XMR wallet.

I am very glad you are intelligent and enlightened in terms of current geopolitical relations. I hope that you and the rest of the conservative team will save the world and one day you will be memorialized in your hometown for your service to society.
I don't need to read a book from an author who is part of this system (and who wasn't paid by his sponsors and maybe turned in 0.0001% of their stuff) and now is also the "official" face of this fucking bureaucratic system to realize that everyone in *any* government is a psychopath.
Did you read this book?
https://childrenshealthdefense.org/fauci_info/
The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health
By Robert F. Kennedy, JR.
It's a great book about the subject.

Oh, how cute is that? They are all from the current system and criticize each other. It's just that the sponsors are different.
I haven't figured out what happened. But strangely, one of the accounts got blacklisted and there was some weird bug where I didn't click on the follow button and it disconnected itself.
๐

The people I used to follow. just disappeared. Is this some kind of super cool Nostr feature, or just a bug?
https://nostrudel.ninja/#/ - is interesting.
Strongly different from other Nostr web clients, and doesn't try to be like Twitter or other familiar UIs. I'm not saying this is good or bad. Just a fact.
But I'll definitely be using it for a while.
And it's fast!

https://snort.social/ - mixes posts and replies when you open someone's profile. I don't like that.
https://jumble.social/ - is fast, and I like that.
But I prefer yakihonne's UI to keeping track of replies under posts.
yakihonne.com is kinda good...
Beautiful UI, not too cluttered, and at the same time not completely โhelplessโ (like the whole iOS).
I hope you filed a police report against the creators of the hammer and knife for killing people with them.
https://nostter.app/ is inconvenient to keeping track of replies under posts.
So far, the situation with Nostr clients reminds me of:
1. the number of Linux distros, package managers, package formats, and other "reinventions of the bicycle";
2. the situation with the dead and useless Matrix protocol and its clients;
I like that there are tools like Nos2x (https://github.com/fiatjaf/nos2x) and that I can test different web clients without having to risk my private. And also Amber (https://github.com/greenart7c3/Amber).
This post was sent from the Rabbit web client (https://rabbit.syusui.net/#/), which is a bit like Twitter Deck.
Trying to figure out the Nostr ecosystem ...
