GM peeps ☕️ Why do you still have a fiat job?

I feel stuck in fiat for a few reasons

I would love to hear your thoughts

- Need to pay rent in fiat (biggest monthly expense)

- Don't want to pay capital gains taxes for converting BTC > fiat

- Still learning how to pay for things in BTC (plane tickets?)

- Still have a strong hodlr mentality

- Don't believe I can make a full-time income in BTC *yet*

For the last point, I am so hopeful and excited about the income models that are emerging on Nostr for those who make a living from sharing their learnings online. But I feel stuck on YouTube to reach non-Bitcoiners and to keep paying my rent in fiat - somewhat of a catch 22.

Can you relate to this?

I feel low vibe emotions about the situation (guilt, hypocrisy, some frustration) because I do not want to keep contributing to the matrix or G👀gle

The guilt I feel also comes from knowing how important it is to embody the world I want to see. My not embodying a Bitcoin Standard is just delaying the manifestation of that world!!

The end game is also so clear to me! 🙌🏼 Bitcoin is the transition system to a world without money. I'm so excited about that! But I also still need to function in the 3D world right now - and pay rent each month! 🤌🏼 😅

I feel stuck in this cycle and I know it will only keep getting worse as fiat inflates to infinity. I am also aware that this is a journey, and I do not need to do it all at once 🙏🏼

I was discussing #Bitcoin with someone and said it is "#trustless." They said that sounded like you can't trust Bitcoin. I realized I had the same apprehension when I fist heard the word. They suggested "trust-free."

Blockchain and Bitcoin are not synonymous.

Blockchain is not a revolutionary technology.

Bitcoin is the revolutionary technology.

From my personal experience, anyone who constantly says the word “blockchain” claiming it is a “revolutionary technology” either has no clue what they are talking about, or they are trying to sell you something, like their “better alternative” crypto.

In reality, a “blockchain” is simply an expensive database.

Just be skeptical around anyone constantly using this 'buzzword.'

Why "investing" in Bitcoin is better than Real Estate:

- Affordable

- Portable

- Permissionless

- Cannot be confiscated

- Has outperformed all asset classes

- Exponential purchasing power over time

- No income, property, or municipal taxes

- No interest payments or mortgage

- No dealing with tenants or rental issues

- No ongoing fees (maintenance costs, utilities...)

Bitcoin forces housing to return to it's utility value over time

Owning a home/land eventually becomes affordable for all

"Investing" in Real Estate becomes irrelevant because "prices fall to the marginal cost of production" (Jeff Booth)

At a grocery store I usually do not go to

Was looking for clean kefir

Picked up a bottle

Saw it was full of sugar

Put it back

Was proud of myself for catching it 💪🏼

🥩 Next isle I saw "beef"

I trusted/believed it was beef

I got home and was bamboozled lol

Ok, it says "made with plant protein" on the package

Yes, I take full responsibility for not reading what I picked up:

Ingredients:

- Bamboo fibre?!

- Pea protein

- Flavours lol

- Red beet powder

- Antioxidant: E301?!

It's not beef, it is #fiatfood! 😑

Why would anyone other than a koala eat bamboo fibre tho? 🐨

Lesson learned, read all labels.
