Excellent ⚡️ I didn't have to switch over from Core so I don't have direct experience and I am not 100% sure, but given what I've seen in my setup, once your Knots is synced up you should have it as an option for Lightning. I say this because when I select to install other Lightning apps it only shows Knots as a dependency (not Core). I would strongly recommend making a backup of everything before moving over either way, just in case 🙏🏼
Hey, On my Umbrel it includes Bitcoin Knots in the suggestions when asked if you want to setup Lightning - it doesn't require Core. A few things to look into: Did you already switch over to Knots? Is your Umbrel up to date?

Yes 💯 Using it on Graphene, it works great. The only lacking feature is playback voice to hear how to pronounce things but ultimately it's not necessary and forces me to say things rather than play a recording. I'm really grateful it exists after initially not finding anything offline as well.
I'm working on a video and in-person presentation about #Nostr for non-Bitcoiners. Been digging into the numbers ( let me know if you spot any errors) and it's pretty fascinating to see:
#YouTube Creator:
- 30% cut to YouTube
- 20–30% Income tax
Leaves about $25 for every $50 earned.
If you save that $25, after 8 years at 10% inflation YoY, it would be worth about $12 in today’s purchasing power.
#v4v Model:
- No middlemen
- 20–30% Income tax
- No capital gains taxes if you don’t convert to fiat (most places)
- +45% CAGR if you hold it long term
If held for 8 years, $25 of sats would be worth ~$553 at a 45% CAGR. Considering 10% inflation YoY it could buy $258 of goods in today’s purchasing power in 8 years.
It’s clear v4v isn't sustainable short-term without savings or another form of income, but it operates on a completely different timeline. YouTube ads and other mainstream monetization models are firmly rooted in the fiat world while v4v is about manifesting the reality in which we wish to live; a higher timeline ⚡️✨

💯 Never seen anything like it. I was trying to calculate UPS shipping for 4 books to the US today, it's a small parcel, about 3kg. I thought there was a bug and gave up but it makes sense now, the shipping cost was 500€ lol
I just went to the post office in Portugal to ship a parcel to the US. Tracked at 700g it usually costs 25€. The postal agent told me I'm not allowed to send products to the US, only documents, and that if the parcel contains documents, the cost is 100€. She told me the new pricing has been in place since Monday. I don't watch the news..
That's not a 20 or 30% tariff, that's a 300% increase which clearly affects SMBs directly (once again) and is a deterrent to commerce altogether. Also looks like another excuse to print money, just 11 billion ya'know lol. Part of me is surprised at 100€ to ship less than a kilo of paper in the mail, another is like 'to be expected;' it's just fiat being fiat...
Looking forward to figuring out teleportation, in the meantime, this system is such a deterrent to human progress... 😑 Grateful for Bitcoin.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts Matt 🙌🏼 💯 I see it like separate timelines or different realities, one where we have abundant money leading to scarcity for the collective and abundance for few, and another with scarce money that allows the abundance that is already here to distribute to all of us.
So, if we are currently on the scarce timeline, then the collective return may actually be a negative and cumulative since 1970 (or who knows, since the last 5,000 years of fiat systems lol). Meaning we are actually missing out on exponential productivity, abundance, and who knows what else on our current timeline.
