- realized old social media is unhealthy
- ads
- but mostly curious to see what it was about and slowly coming to a conclusion that there is no better place.

It's important to allow people to expresses themselves and their thoughts and engage with others in an open way free of censorship from governments and companies.
Perhaps equally important is that everyone has the choice to follow and interact with whoever they desire, and likewise do the inverse. People are free to create their own experience.
It'll make the world better by giving people the ability to freely interact and exchange ideas, thoughts, and value. As well as giving everyone their own unique platform.
Because you can help people by introducing them to Bitcoiners who zap value for value. Nostr is a great place for finding those connections and facilitating financial opportunities
I love Nostr because it’s not just a protocol—it’s open ground.
No need to please an algorithm here, just be real.

That makes me inauthentic apparently.
It's the best Town square off the internet.

I literally had a dream about nostr. Took me a year to understand what was it about.
Seems to be the easiest way to find the highest concentration of interesting + intelligent people on the internet. Nostr feels like the beginning of something that could be really consequential (but I don’t know what it will look like).

My sister told me about it on my birthday last year and it made me curious. That's about it.

For the scintillating company - oh and I got banned from reddit and I heard Nostr has very low standards when it comes to who can and can't join.
Idk. The general idea seems cool. The tech is basic (which is a good thing). I'm not sure it will succeed, but I what to see where it goes.
I'm leaving it when it gets enough attentionthat it floods with spam,scam,and csam. But for now. Its a place for ideals opposite to mine so I like browsing
I like that Nostr is just an open protocol.
It means that I can embed my Nostr posts on my personal website to use in a blog section.
Unfortunately, Nostr lacks many of the features my friends and family expect from a social media, so I don’t expect to see them on here.
Nostr’s shortcomings are of course just due to the decentralized nature of relays, which makes it basically impossible to add unlike functionality, stories that gets hidden after 24 hours, and stuff like that.
Not things I really care about, but the people I know personally, they absolutely care about these things.
What started out as supporting the fight against censorship has turned into having my mind blown nearly every day by what's possible.
Because it rocks and zaps!
I hate being profit to big companies who wanted to manipulate my emotions and farm my data. I deleted everything and found myself here after searching for alternatives. Then I got orange pilled. 🧡

Easier to be really anonymous. On Facebook/Twitter, I was always angry probably because of the algorithm. It's more healthy.

And I discovered Nostr, the decentralized and pro-BTC aspects appealed to me.
I only joined Primal a few days ago. I'm just discovering the Nostr universe.
Many of the discussions are too technical for me, but some projects are advanced enough to pique my interest, and I really like what I'm discovering.
The reception on Nostr has been much better than I expected, with lots of advice, thank you all!
Now, I'd like to convince my friends and family and other users to join us (users from instagram and Reddit), but it's harder than I thought.
