No. To the point I’d be tempted to distrust anyone that did haha

Doin nothing is like…the hardest thing to do with money. When it goes down…or up. The only people that can do nothing are those that have a deep understanding and conviction.
I hear a lot about signal and not much about Keet around here. What’s wrong with Keet?
#asknostr
People that love themselves don’t drink Folgers.
They do claim all your info stays local on your device. I just don't like some of these words arranged in this way.
got a couple of these based on a rec from nostr:nprofile1qqsgqke57uygxl0m8elstq26c4mq2erz3dvdtgxwswwvhdh0xcs04scpr4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucmpwd6kzmrrwfuhqar09ejxzar9qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9urtpz
really great, highly recommend
How useful would this thing be for grapheneos? I worry switching between profiles would disable it
Progress/growth for the sake of progress/growth alone is the ideology of a cancer cell...

Yes. But I've never owned or operated one made of wood and heated by an actual fire...those might be an acception.
Pools are the same.
Was wondering about this...
Something I think about a lot: the body adapts to every stimulus and environment. Couch sitters are better at sitting on the couch than athletes. Muscle mass and bone density are metabolically expensive to maintain so if you sit on the couch too much, the body will begin to eliminate your hard earned strength and replace it with flabby tissue that is “good” at hanging around idle (and bad at everything else).
Running a vpn and refusing to sign in to YouTube is a great way to reduce your media use. I simply can’t watch anything
They are hanging on in quiet desperation. Its the English way.
Imo this is the best book to give to someone who doesn't know anything about Bitcoin, but is curious about it. (Blood of the bourgeoisie by nostr:nprofile1qqszr2x7ua5zr5szlgut82vux6e96uwlt9q3rx8ukfex0yjaxk4mrfcpzemhxw309ucn2t3jxv6jud359c6rjw358q6rsqg4waehxw309a482mncd9hxwampdenjummjvujquy62 is the best Bitcoin book for someone who isn't curious about it)
Great job nostr:nprofile1qqswmnfq2k830kvnylvyrezc97dsqce343qppqrwlgpqaux5qpuwdkspp3mhxue69uhkyunz9e5k7qg4waehxw309ajkgetw9ehx7um5wghxcctwvsgp2pcv you crushed it with this one.

That one is going to two loved ones for Christmas. And two others are getting The Big Print.
I’m in a similar situation but we didn’t actually go when I was young. So far the faith has been more like developing a muscle over time rather than a 100% on, 100% off type thing. Just my experience.
If you can get family and friends on signal you can call thru the signal app i believe
⚡️🚨 ALERT - Bystander disarms active shooter at Bondi Beach in Sydney

Shooter had absolutely zero fight in him. These are weak, untrained men that would never try this if they expected any Resistance.

I've been bamboozled. I'll be bamboozled no more.
How do I convince all my favorite creators to leave youtube? YouTube is unusable now.
Dangerously close to convincing myself to go dumb phone + desktop only.
I haven’t fully thought it out yet-have lots of half baked ideas. There is a lot to it. In a spiritual war, it would be a very effective tactic to disguise/brand demonic activity as UFO sightings. And there is the mysterious nephilim/watchers rabbit hole that seems to conflate fallen angels with aliens. I see a lot of people that are not Christian that believe the anunaki are aliens. Even the red pill blue pill narrative tends to draw people towards the simulation theory of reality.
I wonder if the vast universe and its mysteries are there to teach us a lesson and test faith.
I’ve thought about blogging/wringing some stuff. Previously I thought I’d make a website…but I would get no exposure that way. Nostr seems like a good midway point between totally centralized (Substack) and completely independent (website). Exposure would land somewhere between those two….
“Important: Google is locking down Android.
Starting Sept 2026, every app — even outside the Play Store — must come from a verified developer.
No more anonymous sideloads. No quick comebacks for malware gangs.
First up: Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand.”
And no indefinite access for illegal and anonymous messaging apps, especially ones with the scary hacker chic graphic design.
Protocols have no utility without apps to leverage them.
You can bury your head in the sand all you want; the facts remain the same. You can’t have a global scale permissionless ecosystem without the explicit permission of Apple and Google.
And if your aim is to change the world, you need global scale adoption to do it. That means unfettered access to be able to have your tools installed on the phones of anyone who wants that tool.
This is true also of bitcoin.
Bitcoin can’t change the world unless easy access to it is made available to billions of users.
Running away from this fact doesn’t make it go away; this fact must be confronted head on and the problem solved.
The only question is this: are you contributing to the solution of the problem or not? Or are you acting as a safety valve giving encouragement to people who don’t really understand the problem, so that they feel good today and divert their energy to something which cannot possibly win in the end and, leave us in a better world.

What can we do about it?
I need to start a comprehensive list, I’ll be working on my home server this winter.
Not like after we die…rather, death and debasement are both in the list of top common shared problems lol
Interesting how stacking as hard as possible can potentially be a sign of high time preference (the more you have, the faster you are going to get rich). But at the same time, what else do you spend your fiat on?
Fermi paradox: the great filter
1. We are either the only ones (God)
2. We are the first (we made it past the great filter but no others ever have)
3. We are screwed (the great filter is ahead of us and all others that came before have been wiped out by it already)
Everything they own was stolen. Keep them away from our money.
I know nothing about pubky but I’ve heard similar talk from people about grapheneos…but I think I’ll give it a shot anyway bc it seems like the only way to still have a more private smartphone
