Particularly Lutheran Lutheran Catch my audio either on the Godcast or at soundcloud.com/verylutheran verylutheran.biz

There's a pitfall that creates cults, cultists, and a whole host of problems.

How did dispensationalism happen? How did Herbert Armstrong become a thing? Because lots and lots of Christians decided they wanted to go huddle in the stupid corner.

In honor of this fantastic post, I am going to be snooty all day today

Actually I'd like it if people gave to both the Very Lutheran Project *and* Poast.

As for the fed accusation, I'm highly offended. Anyone who fedjackets Graf or any other friend of mine is disinvited from my birthday party.

Maybe I could be convinced, who knows

The duo that no one was expecting. But also the one we need the most right now.

So today's Catacomb Basics installment is brief. Like, thirteen minutes brief.

But that's a good thing, because the topic is prayer - how we pray, why we pray, and some of the roadblocks to praying for one another. In large part, the issue is that prayer is something we need to *practice.* And that's something we hope to have every house church doing on the regular. Think of this lil' episode as a springboard with ideas to hop off of and get praying.

Brick and mortar congregations are the medium-term goal, I'm hoping to have that established within ten years.

That's why I'm building a denomination that's schismy but DOESN'T suck.

So the lcms wants to support some schismatics but not others. Oh well. Hey, if anyone wants to pick up the slack from the lcms refusing to fund the Catacomb Synod, please consider making a monthly donation to support a Lutheranism that will survive modern subversion. Support options are found here, I love you all: verylutheran.biz/contact

Oh man, that would be wild if it happened haha - unless... :eyes_opposite:

Well, that and a whole host of other things constitute good reason to split off from them.

If someone's lcms pastor is a good dude and the congregation is good, they shouldn't leave. But all other things considered...schism now and avoid the rush.

ADDENDUM TO MY PREVIOUS COMPLAINT.

Any LCMS officials wishing to reward and praise my schismatic tendencies, please do so in secret.

Also you still suck and your convention was awful.

If this is true, then the lcms is supporting a schismatic with these photo ops and altar+pulpit fellowship. I am upset at this, but mostly because I've spent the past year telling people "schism now and avoid the rush." As of yet I have seen no lcms funding nor offers of fellowship. Come on President Harrison, where are the gibs and the high praise for the Catacomb Synod?

I'm liking it thus far, I suppose. I'll keep my eyes peeled for anything amiss. But then again, any Christian media is going to be hated by both nonbelievers and Christians no matter how good they make it, how faithful or unfaithful, etc.

"Sir, uh, Quintus, I trust all is well?"

"Why would you trust that?"

I could swear they paid the writers the most when they were writing for the Romans in "The Chosen." Every line is a banger with these dudes.

Excellent! May this be the first day in your journey to physical perfection.
