Yesterday, I fired off a toot asking who learned to type on a real typewriter. Since then, 7,572 people have voted, and it's been boosted 1.4k times. It's been the #1 trending toot since yesterday afternoon (a thing I didn't even know existed), and it's still going! WOW.🤯

It was a thing of beauty. For one brief moment, over 7,000 of us forgot our troubles and waxed nostalgic about...typewriters

Wouldn't it be great if boosts translated to brief moments of ecstasy?

Although, given how much my lil' poll on typewriters is being boosted, that would have killed me hours ago.

Anyone who spends any time in a hospital will quickly see how much nurses do for their patients. They make an enormous difference. I really admire and respect what they do, and am not shy to say so. Next time you have the chance, thank a nurse.

That cashier who forgot to smile at you may have been up all night with a sick kid, or that guy who cut you off on the highway might be rushing to work because he'll get written up if he's late.

There are people who can speak before coffee. I am not one of them.

I told Mark this, and he proceeded to rattle off the entire Eagle's schedule as I waited for my coffee,. He did this with stats and opinions in order to 'point out' how his Giants will wipe the floor with my Eagles this year -all before I had a single sip of coffee and didn't have the wherewithal to argue back.

Damn him. 😠 😆 😠 😆

Downy Woodpeckers make lots of noise in spring and summer, both with their shrill whinnying call and by drumming on trees.
