There is now less than a day left for my $74K #bitcoin prediction to come true and I’m starting to wonder if I could possibly be wrong.
Nope, I’m so sure about this that, if Bitcoin hits a new all-time high by 6pm UTC tomorrow evening, I’ll celebrate by splitting 5000 sats between all my followers.

I use Brave too, mainly for work, but have been trying to get my brain around Arc recently. It is very nice but will continue using Brave for work, I think. It’s all set up as I like it for multiple work clients.
I have a #nostrnoob question. I’ve been trying out a few different iPhone #nostr clients recently and have noticed that follows and likes don’t always register on all of them.
For example, I’ve had to follow the same person 3 times on 3 different Nostr clients.
Anyway, my question is: Is this to do with relays? And is there something I need to be doing to get them all to sync?

I think that means we don’t need to be told what we can and can’t see on our feeds. I also like seeing my stuff chronologically. I hate reading a new tweet and then noticing it was posted a week ago.
I remember when #Twitter was fun. I had conversations with people I’d never normally speak to from all walks of life - including successful actors, musicians, politicians, athletes, etc - and no-one shilled stuff to you, no ads, no real toxicity. People were happy to follow others and there wasn’t the kudos of “Hey, I’ve got 10,000 followers and I only follow 50”.
As soon as newsreaders started inviting their viewers to share comments on their feed, I knew things were changing. Corporate accounts followed and then ads. It was inevitable, of course. It’s a business obviously but I dropped out for years before I returned because of my need for up-to-date #bitcoin news. But #TwitterX has become a shitpile of toxicity and political polarity and it can be a bit of a downer plowing through my feed sometimes.
But now I’m on #Nostr and I’m chill again. I know I’m repeating my thoughts of earlier notes but it’s a genuine joy to be here.

Friends often ask what I will do if #Bitcoin fails. I normally bore them with an explanation of decentralisation and network effect.
But I now realise it’s much more than that. It can never fail for me because, no matter what happens, studying #bitcoin has taught me so much about how money and economies work and especially the value of saving and patience.
Until I discovered Bitcoin, I’d never saved a penny in my life and lived month-to-month, mired in debt.
I don’t have much but I feel more secure about my financial future and the future of my family.
Every day I buy a few more #sats. Another small step closer to freedom.
It feels to me like everyone actually wants to get along on #nostr or at least involve themselves in constructive argument. It’s like standing outside in the cool night air after thrashing around in the mosh pit of #TwitterX. Maybe we shouldn’t tell anyone else about this place.
I’ve been taking my time with #Nostr, just jumping in every now and then for the #bitcoin talk, but over the past couple of days I’ve really started examining what this whole thing is and what it can be and — Wow, this is huge and amazing and classy and enjoyable and ad-free and … it could really make a difference.
