Dad was heading into surgery and they asked me to come get a few things. I took off his saxophone necklace and a silver ring. They went to take off his wedding ring and he said no way. They warned him that it could cause problems—it can start a fire if they have to shock him. He said he knows that but it’s been there for almost 38 years and it’s not coming off.
