A big part of that comes from the simple fact that I am helping someone receive the care they need when faced with cancer. I may not see or touch every single patient treated, but I will digitally connect with them, and know I’ve done a bit to ensure their care is as safe as possible. A great thing about this profession is that you can be a hardcore researcher, a roll-em-up clinical expert, or somewhere in between. I also love working with different disciplines: technologists, nurses, physicians, IT folks… etc.,It is a rewarding profession, and requires hard work, a lot of training, and professional growth. But being someone who loves math, physics, puzzles and helping patients, I can’t think of a better thing to do.
