"They suggest that the overall US strategy is to decouple from China, and that any country who wishes to have a trade deal with the US will also have to distance itself from Beijing."
Powerful post by Alon Mizrahi on X
"This is the death of a whole world, not just Gaza. A whole world of hopes and dreams, beliefs and aspirations is perishing before our eyes.
This is the death of a civilization, the collective consciousness of hundreds of millions of souls.
People must have felt like that when the horrors of WWII began unfolding, and it was clear that Europe, the old romantic Europe, an imagined haven of humanity and civility, literature and art, science and reason, was no more (we know what Europe had done on foreign shores, and we can only shake our heads at their naivety, but they honestly believed that they touching on the promise of a better future for humanity).
Everything that we believed in before the genocide is not valid anymore; even people who truly believe in god cannot believe the same and worship the same. Nothing is as it was, and the emotional quality of everything in culture is forever changed.
The perpetrators know they are assassinating a civilization - a fragile balance between life and death, with its colors, rhythms, and textures - and they do it gleefully, with a vengeance, taking special delight in their vindictiveness and getting orgasmic pleasure from the physical and normative destruction they leave in their wake.
It is not just Gaza that is being annihilated. It is an entire civilization and the lives of all of us. Because, whether we recognize it or not, our former life and its meanings died in Rafah, Beit Hanoun, Gaza, and Khan Yunis."

“It seems that the occupation army is deliberately trying to kill him and hence relieve themselves from the pressure caused by the dual-citizen prisoners in order to continue its genocide against our people,” Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, said on Tuesday.
Caitlin Johnstone on X. Always a great read.
"When liberal Zionists want to support Israel's actions, they talk about Israel as a nation, e.g. "Israel has a right to defend itself". When liberal Zionists want to criticize Israel's actions, they make it all about Netanyahu, e.g. "Netanyahu's war machine."
When Israel deserves our sympathy it's a collective, but when Israel is naughty the responsibility lies solely at the feet of one bad apple. This ensures that the weapons can keep flowing to Israel (because Israel as a whole is virtuous and worthy of support) while the liberal Zionist still gets to wear their progressive humanitarian clothing (because they wagged their fingers at Netanyahu).
And it's just a complete fiction. Netanyahu didn't create Israel's genocidal tendencies, Israel's genocidal tendencies created Netanyahu. His entire political career has been made possible by Israel's collective racism and psychopathy upon which he rode into office.
This is nothing other than the classic Obama-style tactic of using attractive progressivish language to advance the most destructive agendas of the US empire. In other words, it's Democrats being Democrats."
Couldn't read the instructions... 🙄

Ron Paul's newest article for Antiwar.com. A voice that must be heard.
"That is where Congress comes in. Except they are not coming in. They are nowhere to be found. And that is not a good thing."

Inspiring and courageous article, published in one of my favourite magazines (for sure most favourite Swiss magazine). Who would have thought to find people on Nostr who are writing for the Zeitpunkt? It's a small world...🙂
Good point 😊
For you as an artist there also would be Ubuntu Studio. Just saying... 😌

That's why Linux desktop has a market share below 4%. With a more appealing approach this probably could be massively improved which would profit the whole ecosystem.
"To celebrate two decades of Git, we sat down with Linus Torvalds—the creator of Git and Linux—to discuss how it forever changed software development."
No. Never used it. Had a previous version installed to test it. Beautiful distro with unique features but not my thing. Deepin 25 is still in alpha. I think Kubuntu is a solid choice. If you want KDE desktop you could also have a look at Fedora KDE which I'm using and I'm very happy with it.
Deepin Linux presentation video is next level. Shouldn't the other major Linux distros also start to present their products in a more professional way?

Interesting choice of words and both fit. But clearly ethnocentrist describes it better. Maybe the term US exceptionalism is more mainstream.
Good point. Of course Rubio is an US-Exeptionalist (if that's a word 🙄)
