I used to submit poetry to literary journals several times a year. Only very rarely would one of my poems be accepted and published (which, it must be said, is the norm in the publishing world). I’d gotten so I’d unsubscribed from most of those emails seeking submissions. But, I’d apparently missed one.

So, I was caught anew in the possibility of being published this morning, deciding to submit a short story that I wrote a year ago. I did some editing to it today, and will submit it soon. I won’t know the outcome until next Spring.
