"It is anticipated there will be a process by which a Lightning Gateway registers it's service with the federation to ease discovery, but it would also be possible to have multiple unannounced gateways that users could contract with directly."

So I found the spot on the website that mentions multiple lightning gateways but it seems like a work in progress as of now. So I'll keeps tabs on the progress of this over this year.

Where do I find the documentation on how to set this up and learn more about this? When I'm reading the Fedimint.org website it still seems like it's one gateway per Fedimint.

Fedimint only has one lightning gateway serving the whole federation... that's a single point of failure. Each node in the federation should be running a lightning gateway to make the federation truely highly available.

Welp... I reread the Fedimint GitHub page and realized they don't have any redundancy for the lightning gateway. One lightning gateway would serve your whole federation. 👎

My plan with nostr:npub1q3whaclsqrvs25zgducrsxtnvcld40nm0mxvvay4l70tmudfhmkq40sh0n is to make it a fun meetup where plebs go and hang out at different locations exploring the new places across the city and talking about #nostr, purple pilling people who surround us vs somewhere in the office with corp environment vibes 🥱

You'll probably get more new people to meet up as Im not driving more than 30 min in traffic. Ill need to watch for any meetups in the SW burbs

My main concern is that years ago FluffyPony was taken into custody by law enforcement but I don't remember much hoopla about it . Is my memory bad and that didnt happen? If it did happen I rather wait another couple years before trusting Monero.

After listening to Watts alot... mostly via the chillstep mixes on YouTube... wouldn't he have said positivism and negativism go together. Neither is better or greater than the other?

Yes I second this. I would prefer to have a dedicated Bitcoin core node running and then other services running on a separate box. That way rebooting say a lighting node wouldn't need to wait for Bitcoin core to shutdown and reinitialize which can take some time if you're using a high dbcache setting

What I think would make it stand apart is being able to create a high availability cluster geographically separated... like having nodes running at trusted family or friends homes. That way if your internet or hardware fails you have two more running and have a few days to fix the node that is down. I'm sure no one's done this yet because it's not easy.

Any plans on eventually expanding on this so it the script can help create a sort of cluster that's geographically separated. I have access to lots of hardware and family that I would want to be able to run 3 nodes that synch together. The lightning part is the tricky part from what my initial research indicates... synching the lightning database isn't straight forward.

The debate is usually about who are the "meek" or what is meant by meek or if that's the correct word from the original writings... and then why are they left standing. I take it as the meek being the humans are Earth who are living day to day without modern technology and will be able to survive the next Carrington like event.
