Canadian mom, grandma, and wife. ADHD nerd, Trigeminal Neuralgia warrior, and lover of puns. Yup, that's about it.πŸ€˜πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

Serious question from a non-USian:

Many USians are calling for Trump to be impeached. But he already was twice last time he was in office, & nothing actually happened. It's clearly not an effective tool.

So, what else is there?

Calling it an annexation, is like calling rape seduction.

Two people, identical. Olive skin, dark curly hair, almond shaped brown eyes, freckles over nose.

When asked, "What are you?"

#USA :

I'm half Italian/ Irish, and half white, but my Grandma was married to a Korean man.

#Canada :

Ummm... I'm Canadian.

Thank you #PMJT for the grace and leadership you have shown over the past decade.

US: Why do you want to break up?

Canada: It's not me. It's you.

I'm currently coughing, sneezing, wheezing and otherwise feeling miserable. I am sitting on chunky fleece blanket, with fine fleece blanket over my lap, fuzzy pillow, flannel pjs and knitted slippers. I'm one border collie away from being a sheep.πŸ‘

I can see your point. Maybe I lucked out with family support system more than some others. Thank you for the comment, though. I totally want to show my genx hubby the elderly reference to being a grandparent. πŸ˜‚ Especially when I still have my mid 90s (& yes, avoid when sick!) Grandma. So my grandkids are 5th generation, but I'm holding my hubby, Papa, as the elder.

Wahoo! Team Canada for the win!

@Laeserin I apologize I wrote a book (oops). I'm not triggered with a rant post lol!. I just have so many memories that I would have missed out with if it had just been my Mom home my whole childhood and not times with both or Dad.

The "be seen not heard" mentality I've always found the most crass. Quiet and respectful is good. But if they don't learn how to talk around adults, they won't know how to talk as an adult. You're so right about the spoiled teens that never learned they need to earn respect, not entitled to it.

I have to disagree with you on that. As a kid I had a stay-at-home Mom, or stay-at-home Dad, or both working shorter hours taking turns mornings vs afternoons together with both sets of grandparents helping bbsit me, there was no inherent bonus of my Mom vs any other combo being home full time. My daughter's family is doing the same. The spouse with the "best" job opportunity (wages, benefits and ease of days off for kids/ doctors/ school stuff) is the one that works. They've had stints with each at home as well.

Mom at home was awesome, but Dad and GParents were too and each had their special things I did with them. And, even when my Mom or Dad were at home, I always wanted Grparents for when I was sick. Nanny's coming and watching Julie Andrew's movies with my Grandpa when I was sick- was, is, & always will be, the Best! medicine! πŸ₯° Aparently my hubby is the only one my Granddaughter wants when she's sick too.

Must be a Papa thing lol!

It was the toddler years that had me wishing I'd earn more than my hubby to take a turn working 🫠. Thank goodness the teenage years were ok in our house.
