ah that’s probably better, slipped my mind, seems like someone could generate a key specifically to use with sideus or any native app and revoke it later on.
no reason to trust me. But even if you just get alt store (my recommendation) or sideloadly set up on iOS, and test out sideus with an alt account... You will be ready to instal from sources you do trust when they offer .ipa builds. We still have access to old test flight builds at this moment. Go play some Nintendo roms in the meantime in delta.
also set up nostr:npub1tnpfz60snm7ler8k8c69335n37we6690qttl88t556yzkjxhahjq3kkkpe and then save snort or what ever client you want as an iOS shortcut... pwa (save to home screen) doesn't allow for access to extensions on iOS, but shortcuts just opens in new tab in safari.
Nostrum testflight expired, a nip 42 signer for native apps, I'm not aware of anyone working on a signing tool like that, a bit over my technical abilities at the moment, but we do need something like that so you Dont need to give native software your nsec.
I suspect it will, but I also suspect it will involve pricy distribution certificate
do you gave question a on how to install... What id really love is for someone else to answer questions about what's changed in the code based, although I didn't one could change that before compiling to .ipa so it's good to be weiry. Technically so could a open source submission to the app store, I Dont believe apple really be checking if this matches. I'm looking into checksum, I'm kinda new to all this myself.
here's what's changed, just reverted things labeled as “nozap” change damus to sideus in as few places as possible, and new asserts (logos) to stress unafiliation)

The best situation imo if we get fully removed from the app store is for damus to join the trusted sources program from altstore until eu forces apple to allow side loading. I think even then side loaded apps will be safer if there is some trusting between dev and an alt source/repository.
get alt store working, play some roms in delta, try out sideus with a new pubkey and see what others say. At the moment we can still access old test flight builds.
they are still there in the release version of https://sideus.app
personal custom theme build
saw my neighbor put the spam mail into the outgoing box… I was like “what you doin’?!?” He was like I return to sender to ads… seems kinda petty, but the certainly would raise fees if we all did this.
not a major change but the button resolution was too small on the website now fixed, should look crisp.
imagine all this fuss and they don’t even stop us from accessing previous builds on TestFlight
it was driven by the want to run emulators on iOS. I use it to load a discontinued pebble watch app. It’s definitely worth the time to get altstore or sideloadly set up if you plan to play some roms too. Sideloadly seems more feature rich, altstore is very iOS aesthetic.
nope, the catch is with out a developer account you can only have 3 side loaded apps at a time and you have to refresh it every 7 days
confirmed to work with sideloadly #Sideus

* .ipa stands for iOS App Store package. It’s just reskinned damus with out the nozaps code for side loading
that’s cool. Altstore does that, but the mail plug-in thing has to be open, I literally only use the mail app for this plug-in lol
that’s definitely understandable… hopefully the eu forces apple to allow side-loading (expected next year) and it will be much more like installing a Mac app downloaded from the web.
