We have pushed a new minor version of Nostore to Apple's TestFlight platform. We would specifically like to thank the following developers for contributions this release:
- nostr:npub1vy40z9dxr943vkz6xp54elflf7hxcly46q2qwcpvzfy47qq3syxqqchgk3 for documentation updates
- nostr:npub1f5uuywemqwlejj2d7he6zjw8jz9wr0r5z6q8lhttxj333ph24cjsymjmug for updates to known event types
Thank you both for contributing!
Pleased to announce that the official MacOS release of Nostore is now available on the Apple App Store.
Back by popular demand, there is a small new release of Nostore on TestFlight. Other than some typo fixes, the most noticeable change is a new button on the browser popup to quickly copy the current profile's npub to the clipboard.
It’s not a client, but a web extension, like Alby or nos2x. However, it is for Safari in particular, and is built for the peculiarities of Safari, so there will not be an Android version. I appreciate the interest!
Okay, thank you for the report
You could just stay on TestFlight. Pace of updates will slow down now, probably
I don’t know! NIP-07 doesn’t provide an interface for pushing to web clients. It can only respond to requests
Hey-o! Nostore is released for iOS and Apple Silicon Macs!
“Why does it need permissions to read and write to the webpage?”
I sent the NIP-05 spec and explained it. We will see 🤷♂️
Rejection #1!
Is this a right of passage, #[0]?
Nostore is submitted for review 👀
Safari sucks, I don’t know why I did this to myself 🤣🤣
We should point out that the reason Event Log was renamed to Event History is because some content blockers were blocking the internal extension pages because the name "event log" looked suspicious. How is it that a content blocker can block another extension's internal scripts? NICE ONE, APPLE!
New Nostore build on TestFlight. It's the first 1.0.0 build, which means we are gearing up for an App Store release.
* Biggest change this build is the native app that Apple requires to bundle a Safari extension has been revamped, with a number of help screens to on-board new users, since using Safari extensions is differently confusing on every platform. Nice one, Apple!
* We are using some newer SwiftUI features, so we have bumped up the minimum versions of iOS to 16 and MacOS to 13 (Ventura). We have no idea how many of our users are using older version of the operating systems, because TestFlight very unhelpfully does not provide that information. Nice one, Apple! If it turns out this is a problem for a large number of our users, we may rethink our approach.
* Event Log has been renamed Event History, and you can now click the event JSON to copy the raw event JSON to the clipboard.
Thanks, y'all. 💜
I think that would be ideal, as well. Also would be nice to make use of keychain or bio locks like Face ID.
