looking at some graphics of the difference between merge vs rebase. I think I want to merge not rebase because I want to be able to look at 0.1 sideus and have the state of 1.5.4 (an older version of damus) to be linked to that set of commits. And not the new features branch be always ahead of the main? But I should be able to do this on one sideus-branch moving forward.

so I have a changes-branch with only my changes in the correct folders, everything else is gone.
Then I have a main branch as the master-sideus branch.
When damus updates, I sync fork on master-sideus branch…
then I recommit the changes to from my changes branch?
git experts, I have a dumb noob question:
So with sideus I’ve been making branches for each build (I want to link to each one separately). I tried to make one branch and commit these multiple changes sequentially too it, I guess I would link to the commits, but I would have to cherry pick an older master to not run into merge issues. Since it’s evolving with the master and not a full fork, are the multiple branches ok or should I be doing something different, like try to make one branch with commits moving forward? 
I gotta get a lil better at rust, swift, pwa java… slowly trying to understand what’s in the clients src folder.. I’ll get there soon.

it will get irsc from Spotify
then get track link from Apple Music
and replace the Spotify link with the Apple Music link
it’s definitely not worth an hour of your time, it’s more just, dude did an hour of content on the readme, and good faith non technical people will spend considerable time there before going to nip 1, even if they should just go to nip 1.
idk Ignacio does a great job at finding every link that mentions nostr on the internet, that’s where I found that.
I watched about half and started skimming through, a couple of things he twisted from the read me made me think, maybe someone else in confused good faith understood it that way.

Came crossed this video, hard to tell how much is said in good faith, might not be worth your time to consume, but at some point an update to the read me to reflect where we are at now. I came across some new users 2 weeks ago who clearly by the clients they were asking about were working through the linked vishalxl guides and comparison lists which were a+ in December, don’t have nip 07 login now. if I think of revision or draft some addendum I’ll certainly submit a pr 😉
