Shared Interest, a non-profit guarantee fund, will host its 30th Anniversary Voices of Change Gala on April 29, 2024, in New York City. The gala will honor Lebohang “Lebo M” Morake and Wendy Luhabe with awards. Citibank, N.A. will receive the Corporate Leadership Award. The event will feature a panel discussion on 'Why Africa? Why Now?' moderated by Redi Tlhabi. Over 300 activists, leaders, and practitioners will attend. Shared Interest has provided $34 million in guarantees and unlocked $125 million in loans to Black-owned enterprises in Southern Africa. Mali: Junta Suspends Political Parties, Associations

Mali's transitional military government has suspended political parties and associations, violating both Malian law and international human rights law.
